Recreatiepark De Paalberg is in the north-west of Veluwe, close to Ermelo. It is one of the first campsites in the Netherlands. Already in 1915 there were campers coming to this part of Gelderland to enjoy the beautiful nature. Because the place is a great departure point for biking and hiking. There are paths going directly into the forest via the gates of the campsite. There are also numerous beautiful villages and towns nearby, such as Harderwijk or the smallest town in the Netherlands, Staverden.
De Paalberg has a few fields and many more individual pitches, playfully spread throughout the park. For example, you can choose a pitch at the edge of the woods or more centrally located near a playground or toilet building. At the edge of the campsite, you can leave the park through a gate and enter the forest or the heathland. Pets are allowed (except W and D pitches).
View detailsComfort pitches can be found in several places on our park. Both on fields and spots situated more individually. The W-field and the C-field are our largest fields (W1-15) & (C1-13). In the middle of these fields is a large playground equipment. There is plenty of space to play and sit in the sun. The A field is the most centrally located and contains both a field and individual pitches. The T field is also very centrally located. The D field is close to the toilet block 'de Luifel' and contains a playground. It is located in very green surroundings, close to the moors. Pets are allowed (except W1 to 4 and W6 to W15 and D33 to D37a).

Gaat hard achteruit. Predikaat koninklijk kan er wel af. Al jaren vaste bezoeker van de Paalberg. Schitterende omgeving om te wandelen/fietsen en leuke dorpjes/stadjes in de omgeving. Sinds het VDB Holiday is gaat het richting massa is kassa: - Toiletgebouw wordt schoongemaakt met 2 doekjes, geen emmer sop. En maar 2 keer per dag. Haal er een paar keer per week een hogedrukspuit doorheen, zal een stuk schelen. Vuil op de vloer in damestoilet de pyramide heeft er ruim een week gelegen. Kraan damestoilet pyramide al een jaar stuk. - restaurant lang wachten. Personeel staat met elkaar te praten ipv te bedienen. De pizzabakker smijt de pizzaschep steeds met een knal op de oven. 2e drankje kwam pas toen we klaar waren met eten. - Eten bestellen via internet en afhalen kan niet meer dus je staat nu lang te wachten tot je bestelling klaar is - winkeltje vernieuwd maar nog beperkt aanbod en beperkt open. Uitsluitend betalen met pin waardoor je niet meer even de kinderen voor de verse broodjes kan sturen. - veel wisseling personeel, minder vriendelijk en minder attent - Mooi zwembad, zowel binnen als buiten. - we stonden voor het toiletgebouw, tegenover het restaurant. Dag en nacht hoor je een bromtoon van de warmtepompen van het toiletgebouw en bijna dagelijks komt een vrachtwagen die een uur zijn motor laat draaien. - medewerkers rijden hard over het terrein
