In the 19th century, the Telemark Canal was built in the south of Norway. At the time, Europe viewed this as the eighth world wonder. First Camp Lunde lies directly under this canal, in the town of Lunde. You camp only a few hundred metres from the Lunde lock and a fifteen-minute drive from Vrangfoss, where you will find the largest (and most imposing) lock of the Telemark Canal. You can go on lovely walks and bicycle rides in the area around this neatly kept campsite.

Spacious touring pitches

This campsite is mainly aimed at tourist campsite visitors who have their own camping equipment. The neatly arranged grounds have various open fields with spacious pitches. Some pitches have a mixture of grass and gravel, although you can book a pitch at First Camp Lunde with a grassy surface. Some pitches are almost right by the water. A separate field has been set up for those camping with a tent.

Ideal destination for water sports fans

The situation of this campsite is ideal for those who love water sports. The campsite rents out kayaks, canoes and SUP boards, which means you can go for a nice trip on the water. On hot days it is very tempting to look for some refreshment in the river, made possible by a sandy beach, a large grass beach and two swimming docks.

Paddling on the Telemark Canal

It is an amazing experience to canoe over the Telemark Canal. Being on the water gives you a unique view of the surrounding hills and mountains. It is also unique that you are allowed to enter the chambers of the locks with your canoe – with a guide – in Lunde and nearby Vrangfoss.

Travelling party: Couple

T is een hele grote camping, met badkamers die zo mooi zijn, dat hotels erbij verbleken. Je hebt veel gras bij je plek, ookal sta je op verharde plekken.
Erg veel (grote) campers, en helaas ook gasten die doen alsof alles kan en je geen rekening hoeft te houden met de buren.
Dat is echt een minpunt, in het hoogseizoen lijkt me dat helemaal vreselijk.
Ontzettend mooi gelegen nabij de sluis van Lunde waar de 2 prachtige plezierboten (Hendrik Ibis en Victoria) langsvaren.

Zeer mooie verzorgde camping.
Super schone service gebouwen.
Met een keuken waar 2 kookplaten en 2 ovens zijn en je kunt er afwassen.
Schone toiletten en douches (waar de gebruikers zelf ook verantwoordelijk voor zijn)
Deze worden 2x indien nodig 3x per dag schoongemaakt.
Super vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel.
Met een Camperclean machine om de toiletcasette te reinigen.
Punten voor vers drinkwater en om grijswater te lozen.
Gescheiden afval inzamelen in apparte containers.
Kort om een prachtige camping op een mooie locatie. Een grote aanrader First camp waardig.
