Camping Armação de Pêra

The site is like wild camping with electric. Due to the lack of drainage the site is a bit lumpy in places, our pitch was level and the unkept scrubery added character. Everywhere leading to the beach the vegetation was similar, it\'s as if it\'s to promote the natural flora and fauna. We spent 10 very enjoyable days. the bar restaurant wes friendly and the food was good and to us inexpensive. The resort is large but the campsite is on the western edge and it\'s a 20 minute walk. There is substantial car park and we had no problem finding a space. Not sure that will be the case in high season when the population increases from 8000 to 800000. We will return next year

pitches were compacted sand not marked out. some shade available. toilets dated but very clean. shower timed for 7 mins. food and drink very reasonable. shop with lots of spare parts but we did not find the woman very helpful. swimming pool currently having work done which starts early in the morning so noisy. easy walk to the beach and bars.
