Camping Huttopia Sarlat

Camping Huttopia Sarlat is situated in the Dordogne, near the river by the same name and the medieval town of Sarlat (and this is a real landmark). On the campsite you can camp in luxury and unique rental accommodation, amidst green and wooded surroundings. There is a lot of difference in elevation on this campsite. The campsite is situated on the D47, which follows on the D56 north of the campsite. When you drive past the campsite gate, you will get to the charming town of Sarlat. It is only a 10-minute walk from the campsite. With its medieval houses, markets and restaurants, Sarlat is an attractive town.

Stayed for 4 nights . Some very narrow roads to pitches and some very steep roads to toilet facilities. Seemed to be only 4 toilets but more showers available. The walk back from the town was arduous in the heat but the gradients on the camp site were much more severe. Some roads tarmac with gravel on top which made cycling very dangerous. Swimming pools were just opening during our stay. Very limited Wifi in the bar/lounge area. Don't think I would visit this site again.

A very good, terraced campsite with a lovely atmosphere. Great swimming pool. Friendly, helpful staff. All the facilities were well maintained and very clean. 15 minute walk into Sarlat centre (though a little longer on the return uphill - for us slightly older ones!)
