Camp on the estate of a castle at camping Château de la Rolandière. This small-scale campsite is situated on a secluded spot in the Loire Valley, in the middle of the undulating landscape of the Touraine. You arrive at a shady estate, where you camp in peace and quiet, in an intimate setting. You don't need much more than that. Perhaps a dip in the outdoor swimming pool, which offers a view of the castle.

The stylish castle is the centre of this rural camp site. An orchard with shaded pitches, park, swimming-pool, midget golf court, restaurant and meeting room. Hospitality and peace are highly valued. Good base for walking and cycling journeys.

Stunning surroundings and peaceful atmosphere. A free guided tour of the chateau with a glass of wine to follow was fab.

We enjoyed the visiting "market stall" and "food truck" and loved the pool. Our pitch was close to amenities. The site was quiet and we felt welcomed by the owners.
The pool closes early (7.30pm) and the shop was extremely basic (but who doesn't like a trip to Super-U?). The showers are old and rustic but excellent sinks for washing up and hand wash laundry. Internet was patchy, having to log in constantly to two different links and an extra cost €3 per night pp.

Small peaceful site, friendly staff, owners were always willing to help/advise local things to see and were happy to take time to speak to you. Food trucks were a great idea incl pizza and burger and a local shop visiting one evening selling local produce, no pressure to buy

The location is great for the East Loire
A site that does not recycle is unacceptable.
