Periode of stay: July 2022

This was the fourth French campsite of our trip and was by far the worst having stayed in some lovely sites. It’s rating is wildly inaccurate. It would not get 5 out of 10 in Germany. The site smells of sewerage and the smell is inescapable. We had to sit in our van to eat and drink. One of the toilet blocks (our closest) was a free for all that required everyone to walk past a urinal in order to use the toilets, showers or washing up sinks. Our tiny pitch could only be reached by crossing one of two other pitches. People walked across our pitch all day and night. People were talking and drinking until very late and well after dark. There was a bottle top and cigarette butts on our pitch when we arrived. The “lake” is a very small body of murky looking water and the “beach” was not being looked after very well. Having said that, the toilets were cleaned thoroughly and there were lots of kids who seemed very happy with the lake, inflatables and peeling play equipment. The cafe looked uninspiring and sparse but we didn’t go when it was open. If you need a cheap destination for younger children then this might suffice but, we were up at first light and on our way as soon as we could leave.
