Good and quiet campsite, ideal for families with small children or teenagers. The campsite is sloping from a small valley. The pitches are flat in a terraced area. By car approx. 5 minutes from beautiful beaches. Small beaches among the rocks at 3 km. Swimming pool can be opened with fine weather, the water slides are ending in a separate open air basin.

Anyone who has stayed at La Tabardière in previous years is in for a disappointment. The lovely flat pitches at the top of the campsite, which are advertised in the ACSI book are no longer available - wooden chalets are now on these pitches. As I have heart problems the pitches on the terraces were no use to us, so we had to have a pitch straight on from the barrier, pitch 42. We could not find a water tap and when we asked where it was we were shown one up a hill. It would not have been possible to control the barrel coming down. We were then taken to the baby shower in the toilets, where they filled the barrel for us - we did wonder if the water was suitable for drinking. The pitch itself had hollows and we ended up putting a bucket and bowl over 2 of them to ensure we did not twist our ankles. Also embedded in the grass was a long thorn, approx 5/6 foot. It was a good job we spotted it as it could have gone through thin shoes. Opposite the pitch were materials covered in tarpaulin and it looked like a building site - not a pleasant view. Whilst the swimming pool was good it did not have any rail to hold on to as you walked down the steps entering the pool. I did in fact fall backwards on entering. I am surprised there were no comments by your Inspectors. I have photos available should you wish to see them and I could email them to you if you send me an email.
