Camping Au Bord de Loire

We have stayed at this site four times. The site is situated on the banks of The Loire and is walking distance from Gennes with shops and a Super U. It is a pleasant site with good sized emplacements. It is on the Vélo cycle route and is popular with cyclists. In high season there is a bar with take away food and large TV to watch the Euros.

Lovely site with good size pitches for a motorhome. Facilities were very clean and well looked after by the friendly Madame and monsieur. Access to cycle trail along Loire from site. Near a town and 40 min walk to a train station to access towns along the Loire. Thank you for an enjoyable stay

The strength of this campsite is the location in the small town of Gennes but actually on the banks of the Loire and access to the cycle/walking rote that passes by the site. The pitcbes are grassed and are decent sized with reliable electricity and regular water points. .There are two toilet blocks are accessed by a flight of stairs and are adequate and kept clean. There is only one disabled toilet and that doubles up as disabled shower room and baby changing so there can be a wait to use it.There is a small portable bar open on most evenings in the season and a food van calls a few times a week. The town of Gennes with two restuarants and a bar is easily walkabl,e from the site although the Super U is about a 20 minute walk away.

spent a lovely few nights here, spacious pitches, great swimming pool, good for dogs as walks by the river, the bar and restaurant good value with different evening entertainment
