Camping Park Lijak Active Holidays is located in Western Slovenia, close to the Italian border, amidst vineyards and the green mountains of the Vipava valley. This modern campsite is a veritable paragliding paradise. The level campsite overlooks the Trnovo plateau. Lots of paragliders take off from there and, after a wonderful flight, land on campsite Park Lijak. With its sixty touring pitches, the campsite is rather small-scale and peaceful. There is a lovely grill restaurant (with roof terrace), where you can enjoy the taste of regional dishes and Slovenian wines.

Camping with beautiful view

On campsite Park Lijak you camp on an open terrain resembling a meadow. Some sixty non-demarcated pitches for tent, caravan or motorhomes are distributed among well maintained grassy fields, which are partly shaded by tall weeping willows and other trees. However, most pitches are in the sun and the stunning view of the mountain ridge at the back of the campsite is not obstructed by the trees.

You can also stay in one of the mobile homes, even though the choice is limited. Unique are the so-called 'habitats sleeping quarters', offering a type of casemate accommodation.

Walking and cycling

The Vipava Valley, the part of Slovenia where the campsite is located, is a terrific walking and cycling area. Directly accessible from the campsite are walking trails and cycle routes of different levels of difficulty that lead you through forests, past vineyards and over hills. If you are a real biking fanatic, you will head for the rugged terrain on top of the Trnovo plateau on your mountain bike. The campsite offers cycling and walking arrangements, including two guided excursions and bed & breakfast.

Für die schöne Zeit und die angenehme Atmosphäre (trotz Baustelle) herzlichen Dank. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und schöne Ausflüge in die Umgebung gemacht: Kulturhauptstadt Nova Gorica/Gorizia, Brda und Collio, Sočatal , Vipavatal und Idrija, Štanjel und Burg Rihemberg, Koper und Izola in Slowenien, Triest, Grotta Gigante, Schloss Duino, Grado & Aquileia Cividale in Italien. Eine landschaftlich schöne und kulturgeschichtlich überaus reiche Region

Essen gehen ist eindeutig keine gute Idee.
Die Preise sind total überzogen.
Im Oktober hatten wir dort eine Stechmücken Plage.

gemütlicher, einfacher Platz, mit ausezeichnetem Restaurant. Wunderbare Umgebung ideal für Ausflüge und zum Radfahren. Die Besitzer sprechen deutsch und englisch und sind sehr hilfsbereit.

Wir kamen nach telefonischer und E-Mail Reservierung gegen Montag Nachmittag anfangs September auf dem CP an. Wurden sofort vom Besitzer informiert,entgegen unserer Anfrage erst am Donnerstag bzw. Freitag das Restaurant abends öffnet.Auch gab es im nächsten Ort keine Gastsstätte.Auf dem Platz waren Baustellen und nicht fertige Anlagen. Der Waschraum wurde nur leidlich gepflegt. AM nächsten Tag verließen wir dise ungastliche Stätte.
