Stayed one night. We were welcomed into the site by a nice man. The piches are quite small and a bit difficult to get into. Lots of trees which are nice but make parking a problem. The beach is a stone’s throw away and very nice as you would expect. There is a boardwalk which leads down from the campground which unfortunately had dog turd on it. And on the sand. Wouldn’t want that squishing between your toes, but no one seemed bothered. The resteraunt is right on the beach so we decided to give it a go. Got ignored for half an hour. Went through all the usual things : are we sitting in the right place.. are they not serving food etc but people came in after us and were served. In the end I had to stand in front of the waitress to get her to take my order. The food was good but the service problems stopped us going back. There was a robot trolley which brought food out whilst playing “ in the summer time “ which was amusing Maybe they should use one to take orders too and dispense with the waitress altogether?

So the first thing to remember is a star rating is based on facilities offered, not on level of quality. The pitches are just behind a hedge from the road. They have a bar and restaurant at the back of the site which faces the sea. Stunning views and sandy beach both get a thumbs up. Road noise is intrusive. 75% of the site is given over to permanent/ long term living (over winter escapees). The site hosts school groups of young age. Hoards of extremely noisy kids running about uncontrolled.

An excellent location with amazing access and views of the beach. The facilities are all well maintained and equipped and the owners are very friendly. A great camp site for a holiday getaway.
