Tranquil setting amongst the pines with views out over olive groves. Showers and toilets were clean. Village close by for restaurants and bars.The shop had bread and milk but the bar at the site was closed

We visited Camping Despenaperros for one night on our way south. The site was easy to find and the comments about the archways at the entrance cover the issues. The site was very clean and the plots are spacious and well marked out. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was plenty of hot water in the toilet block but non at the outside sinks, just cold water. This is a very peaceful site in a lovely area.

It is true that this is a pretty tired site in a lovely location. The receptionist does not speak English but we found him very helpful and Google translate allowed communication! The big problem we had was 3 families travelling together with 8 children who shouted and screamed all day and well into the night but the receptionist was helpful and we moved to a much quieter spot but this is not a particularly peaceful campsite if that is what you need.
