We arrived here and cannot believe the views absolutely spectacular chose the wrong day to arrive as the restaurant was closed and it was our anniversary but there was a great restaurant by the station and we had a great meal. Site is right overlooking the lake staff friendly and nothing too much trouble.
The biggest disappointment with this site was trying to book. Sent 4 emails 3 direct 1 via Acsi Not 1 reply. Spent nearly 2 days phoning site before finally getting through to restaurant. When we arrived it was the restaurant staff that directed us to the site Had to get a key from restaurant to connect electricity. Connections are not euro plug but a Swiss plug that you can hire from Reception which is only open from 9 till 11am then 16.30 to 21.30. The site is very open and quite a few walkers parading through.Right by the Lake views are fantastic.
Excellent location on the lake surrounded by mountains. Excellent restaurant that appeared to fill up with locals as we were there. Manager spoke English which was good. The only thing that could detract was that the toilet block was beneath the reception up the hill from the motorhome pitch, however the pitch backed onto the lake with excellent views, so it is a small detraction. When we arrived the reception was empty and the restaurant staff were left to deal with our enquiries.
A very welcome find after our previous experience at another site not too far away. We were the only tourers the night we stayed and had the pick of the idyllic pitches on the lakeside. The washroom facilities were clean, warm and not truly unisex as there were separate areas for men and women accessed through the same exterior door. The restaurant served a superbe meal which judging by the number of locals is very popular. Yes the site is mainly static vans but when we were there they were nearly all empty. Definitely the most pleasant site we stayed on in Switzerland.
Our caravan pitch was a sloping field at the back of the site -most user unfriendly. Newly mown and as it was raining grass was walked into the caravan. The staff very unhelpful. The facilities mixed sex and not very clean. These were also used by the people staying in static's. In short we couldn't wait to leave and can't believe it is in the ACSI book. The restaurant was closed and as for describing this site as a 'paradise' --unbelievable.
