Just outside of Potsdam, in the Havel Lake District, you'll find the quality campsite Campingpark Sanssouci. Directly on Lake Templin and among the trees you really have the feeling of camping in the midst of nature, while Potsdam and Berlin are nearby. Don't want to go to town, but want to see the surrounding area? The nature is beautiful and perfect for a nice cycle tour. You can bring your own boat and take a surfing course. Children can even join a surf camp one weekend!

Loved our stay, cycled into Potsdam for sightseeing. Nice town with lots of eateries. Toilets and showers very clean and luxurious for a camping site. We had a great meal in site restaurant served by very friendly attentive staff.

I find this campsite to be well overpriced and only getting 6amps inclusive, 10 or 16 amps are extra. The shower/WC are top notch and are spotless. The pitch size is very narrow, but again you can pay extra for larger, but, you do get water at the pitch, which is a bonus. The basic price is already high and there is little to no WiFi. We have had a lot more for a lot less on this holiday at other sites. We ate at the campsite restaurant on one night and I must say, it is very good. I would also like to mention how helpful the reception staff were. A couple of hours after leaving the site, we received an email, saying we owed an extra amount for 10 amp electric, but we had been told we only had six, which is also stated on their website, as standard. This was resolved by a phone call. Overall we did have a nice stay.

The toilet block is out of this world. It easily compares with a top class hotel rather than other campsites!
