In Opende, het meest westelijk gelegen dorp van de provincie Groningen, ligt camping De Watermolen. Op deze camping zijn rust, natuur en ruimte de sleutelwoorden. Je kampeert hier op een beschut en autovrij kampeerterrein in een coulisselandschap, een goed fietsgebied. De meest bijzondere kampeerplekjes op de camping zijn de waterchalets en de strohut. De chalets liggen direct aan een groot recreatiemeer, waarin je kunt zwemmen en vissen.
