Im touristischen Gebiet südlich des kristallklaren Wolfgangsees liegt der Paradiescamping Wolfgangsee Birkenstrand. Der Campingplatz liegt auf halbem Wege zwischen den Orten Sankt Gilgen und Abersee, beide sind weniger als fünf Kilometer entfernt. Der auf Höhe des Wolfgangsees gelegene Campingplatz ist ein schöner Ort für Familien mit kleinen Kindern. Der Grund dafür ist, dass man sehr weit in den See hineinlaufen kann, bevor das Wasser wirklich tief wird.
