Camping Klein Strand is situated near Jabbeke, in the Belgian province of West-Flanders. The campground consists of two parts. There is a small area around the lake with the beach, from which Klein Strand derives its name. They have mostly permanent pitches. There is also a second section, which is located on the other side of the Varsenareweg. This section is also used for short-term camping. These pitches are also close to the beach.

In high season both sites have their own reception. During the remainder of the year only the main reception near the lake is open. You will also find a Chinese restaurant and a shop there. Near the other reception is a toddler pool (Pirate pool) with several slides and climbing equipment customised for toddlers.

Spacious pitches and different types of accommodation

The campsite is well maintained and has spacious and somewhat less spacious pitches. For instance, on Klein Strand there are special pitches for tents, although there is no space for your car. You can park your car in the large parking area near the entrance. On the campsite you can rent holiday chalets for max. 6 persons. You can also rent Chalets Corsaire for 2 persons as well as luxury tents (glamping) for up to 6 persons.

Endless water fun

Fun for all in the large lake: swimming, the water slides or swimming in the secured section. You can even take waterski lessons on the lake and in summer there are waterski shows. In the small lake you can fish for bream, carp and eel.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Liked - Very clean facilities and nice clean, well maintained pitches. Small problem when WiFi went down which made codes for toilets and showers stop working, however a quick call and immediately responding and temporarily fixed the problem. Very efficient and friendly staff.
Disliked - More to do for children in off season. Keep a few things running

Liked - Proximity to the town and shops. Close to bus stops for trips into Brugge. Nice amenities although we did not use any of the beach stuff which looked good. Some road noise from the motorway but not onerous.

Liked - Check in quick, staff at reception friendly and helpful. Facilities good and clean, pitch ok. Great area, lovely small town within walking distance. Cycling into Bruges easy.

Liked - The site was great, staff super friendly and helpful. Toilets and showers were immaculate. My only concern was at the speed of which some of the people living in the statics were driving around the site. The sign on entry clearly states 10km. I witnessed speeds of at least 3 times that.
Disliked - Put signage up stating that anybody found speeding above the 10km per hour will be warned and if they continue to speed they will be asked to leave the site.

Liked - The pitch was generous and the site was pleasant
Disliked - The toilets were smelly and dirty, the slides on the lake, only one was working and the beach was littered and staff were not interested. The 'lifeguard' on the beach wasnt watching any one swimming and sat smoking facing the wrong way with no interest
