Small campsite but they pack everyone in quite tightly. ACSI book says 40 places but we counted more than 60 motorhomes & caravans in cluding 4 Concordes! Steps down to the beach but then 170 to climb back up. Convenient for Dubrovnik
.Very friendly greeting on arrival, and from that moment on the site owner and staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. The site is in Mlini a few KM past Dubrovnik. There\'s a 30minute bus service outside the gate and a ferry service from Mlini Prom about 1km. The owner organized tours for us to Montenegro and Bosnia both picking us up from the site gate, these were great and the highlight of our holiday. The site is small and has different areas for tents, smaller and larger caravans and motor homes. We had a lovely pitch on the side of a canyon that runs down the side of the site with great views and the sound of distant waterfalls that Mlini is well known for. To get to the prom involves a lot of steps but they are shallow and even with us both suffering with arthritic knees and hips managed several times. Dubrovnik is a gem and must be seen. The walk round the city wall involves 700 steps but we manged that too and delighted that we did. If you want a lovely intimate site near Dubrovnik with the friendliest people, small but spotless facilities and wonderful surroundings this is the site for you.
We really enjoyed our stay on this campsite. We are not sports people and do not have children with us so have not rated those two options. We were blessed with 6 days of warm sunshine. The views from the campsite are spectacular. The shower facilities were very clean as were the toilets. The sanitary blocks provided toilet paper, soap and paper towels for hand drying. The water was hot and the showers powerful. These were free running lever operated and not push button so a constant shower. There are two blocks and despite it being low season they were both open and cleaned everyday. The public transport system to Dubrovnik and return is excellent. The bus stop is very near to camp on both the outward and return journey. The cost of a single ticket was 18 Kuna. The buses ran to time and we were given a timetable by the campsite owner. Dubrovnik can also be approached by boat which goes from Mlini, about 10 minutes walk from the campsite down some steps. Once again the owner advised us of the times. Nothing was too much trouble and his English was excellent.
The wifi was good and free. There is a decent washing machine which can be used on an honesty basis, 20 kuna per wash or 25 kuna if using the campsite washing powder. On leaving, we paid for the washing loads and the campsite.
I thoroughly recommend this small and relaxing campsite.
Location: About 5 miles South of Dubrovnik. Easy access along the E65 from Northern Croatia. Site well signposted in Mlini – it is on the right hand side if you are driving South and left hand vice versa.
We selected this site after reading other reviews but when we pulled in we were a little disappointed as it felt more like a rustic CL than a proper site. This could be that the sites we have stayed on thus far have been quite large with extensive facilities. However, after just a few hours we have acclimatised and enjoy the peaceful nature of the site. Some of the pitches are on hard standing, others on grass. All have access to 10 amp electricity and 50% have water and drainage by the pitch. The toilet block is small accommodating just 4 showers and 4 toilets. However the facilities are very clean but be warned there is only a small hook outside the shower door on which to hang your clothes. But they are very clean and there is plenty of hot water. There is also a washing machine. The site is located in what looks like a former orange and olive grove. We are pitched on the lower tier within reaching distance of an orange tree and there even a small chapel to add to the quaintness.
Following the steps directly from the site down towards the sea you come across a small beach front collection of restaurants and bars. There is even a small beach and a swimming area. You can also catch a boat directly to Dubrovnik from here. There is also a frequent bus service which leaves from a stop 200 m from the site. There is a little bit of road noise but you don’t really notice after a while.
Happy to recommend to anyone who doesn’t want 5* glamping luxury and is used to using CLs.

Small family campsite with old cypresses and subtropical trees and plants, 8 km from Dubrovnik. Located in the foothills of the Malasnica mountain with a beautiful view of the blue bay and its islands. Close to the harbour town of Mlini with old mill houses, churches and beautiful gardens.
