A wonderful and peaceful camping where you are also allowed to choose your own pitch if you find a spot you like. We stayed along the river which is so nice to dive in to if you\'re hot! You can also canoe and fish! The bar is very nicely set up, great atmosphere and the staff is very friendly! We really enjoyed our stay!
An ideal stopover with pleasant surroundings and a good restaurant facility at reasonable prices. English spoken by all reception staff.
Prachtig gelegen aan een riviertje waarin je lekker kunt zwemmen. Onze jongste heeft de hele dag met alle andere kinderen vanuit de bomen in het riviertje gesprongen. Voor hem een hoogtepunt van onze vakantie
Excellent site; young man on Reception spoke good English & was very informative giving us free literature on the area. Spacious, flat pitches; good wifi coverage; toilet / shower facilities excellent.
Didn\'t try the restaurant / bar but spoke to some who had & they said it was good food & well priced.
Excellent site, well recommended.

We intended using this site as a stop off on the way south, but ended up staying 5 days, and on the way back. The site is so picturesque on the river side, and useful for visiting Plitvice and Zagreb. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful, the food very good and immaculate facilities.
Location: About 3 miles South of Duga Resa on the banks of a lovely river. From the motorway be sure to take Exit 3. Your sat nav may recommend taking Exit 4. DO NOT follow this as you will end up on the equivalent of cart tracks. Exit 3 through Karlovach and Duga Resa is straight forward and the site is well signposted.
The site is quite large but when we were there at the beginning of April 2015 only a few pitches near the bar were open. These were perfectly fine, on grass and with a 16 amp power supply. Water taps seemed to be quite sparse within the main camping areas so you may have a walk on your hands. Even in early April the bar was open serving food and drinks. Whilst we were there it got quite busy at the weekend when locals use it as a meeting point. This wasn’t a problem but you might like to know. Reception has various tourist information leaflets including a small booklet with local hiking trails. The staff are all very friendly and speak excellent English.
The facilities have been recently refitted and cleaned to a very high standard. Regular trains stop in the village and will take you directly to Zagreb or you can take the car which is about a 1 hour drive. Very nice, well managed and maintained site in a beautiful riverside location.
There is a small village shop a 5 min walk away selling daily essentials including bread.
This site seems to be mostly used as a stopover, which is a pity because it should be used for a few days at least. It is located about 30 mins. north of the main motorway that runs to the south of Croatia (Split and so on). It is also a handy place to stay if visiting the Plitvice Water Falls just over 1 hour away. The site staff and owners are very friendly and can offer help on places to visit. Some of the pitches can become waterlogged and for that reason I have marked the pitches down, but I understand this is being addressed and this shouldn\'t be an issue from 2015. The food in the restaurant is very good and prices are low (about £7.50 for a main course and a pint of beer or glass of wine £1.35). Breakfast £3.30. There is also a bar/restaurant adjoining the campsite - same prices. The toilets are as good as any in Europe and in keeping with the rest of the campsite spotlessly clean. If we are in the area again I would pick this campsite above any others.
Thanks Mattay, you made our stay very memorable. Great surroundings, great staff, clean and excellent facilities. I will recommend you to my colleagues when they travel to your area of Croatia.
A very friendly camp site, in great surroundings, very clean showers and toilets. Food at the restaurant is good quality and value for money. The entrance is a bit narrow and steep but should not be a problem. It is a good place to stay for a visit to Zagreb or the lakes at Plitvice. I have put a short video on You Tube \"Camp Slapic Duga Resa\".

For instance, one dog is included in the rate (if dogs are permitted in general), but it is likely you will need to pay extra for a second or third dog. One hot shower per person per night is included, but you may have to pay for a second hot shower. This does not imply that all amenities not in bold are free! Some may need to be paid for.
