In Croatia, on the island of Krk, is where you will find Campsite Bor amid the olive trees. Here you camp at a quiet campsite close to the centre of Krk and the sea. The campsite is run by the Mrakovcic family and they produce olive oil and wines there. It is a popular holiday destination for many campers due to the pleasant Mediterranean climate. Sun lovers can enjoy the warm rays of sun early in the spring and the clear water attracts many divers and water sports fans.
By foot to the historic city centre
The campsite is within walking distance of the historic centre of Krk. The ideal thing about this location is that you are not bothered by the busy city but it is very close by. During the summer months, cultural events are organised regularly in Krk.
Camping under the olive trees
The partly demarcated pitches are situated on wide terraces, with olive and fig trees providing shade. There is of course less shade in the areas with young olive trees. The special tent field is car free. The campsite offers the option to store your caravan here in the winter, for a fee. The toilet and washing facilities were renovated in 2016. Between the larger campsites nearby, this is the right place for campers who are looking for more peace and quiet. There are three swimming pools: a wading pool and two standard swimming pools. As the pools are not so large, it is quieter here. The beach is pretty busy and is approximately 800 metres away. The walk back is quite a hike as the campsite is situated on a hill.

A pleasant family-run campsite with good-sized pitches. An easy walk gets you into the town which is worth a visit.
Terraced site high above the town of Krk, about half a mile from the waters edge but quite a climb down & back. For pitches with a view, the views were really nice. The facilities were OK but not enough toilets & showers near the ACSI pitches. Very much a site for Germans & Austrians. There were a lot of static vans which seemed to encroach over double pitches. The shop had very limited supplies but sold bread & milk. The electricity supply was irritating as you had to arrange for someone to come up to the pitch to unlock the box & connect up then again to disconnect on leaving. The motorhome service point near our pitch was OK but the hose pipe seemed to get taken over by the cleaner watering the plants. The girl at reception was very friendly & helpful but the older man (possibly the patron) was supercilious & seemed to take issue with the fact that we spoke English not German!!! There was a swimming pool which looked good but we didn't try out. The best part of the site for us was the bar/ restaurant which was run by a very friendly lady who was highly efficient & very hard working., We had a lovely meal there on our first night & then went down for drinks on the 2nd night to find there was a do on for a lot of Dutch people. There was music & dancing plus a lot of frivolity. We were happy to watch & be entertained .
What an excellent site. We have nothing but praise for the location and the friendly and helpful way in which it is run. We were given a tour of the site on arrival to choose our pitch and offered a welcome drink.
The ACSI discount app didn't mention a pool, but we were delighted on a hot day to find three 'plunge' pools, which were excellently maintained.
Sanitary blocks are excellent and immaculate.
Internet access was very reasonably priced and connectivity good.
Very accessible by foot into beautiful Krk town and although is it up hill on the way back we certainly didn't find it arduous, if a little warm.
We would definitely like to return here some time.
Enjoyed 4 nights lovelly site, were there when ACSI group from Holland visited and made the camp very lively. Toilets were the best that we have seen during our visit to Croatia, nice downhill walk 10 mins into Krk, can get small bus back.
