In a lovely quiet location, two kilometres from the beautiful town centre of Holstebro (Central Jutland), is Holstebro Søpark. You camp here in an extensive residential area and on the recreational lake Vandkraftsøen, which is great for canoeing. This is otherwise a neat, small campsite with a compact layout. That means you are always near all the facilities, which are clustered around the reception. Among those facilities are a heated outdoor swimming pool, a playground and a shop.

Well-maintained grassy pitches and cosy reception
The cosy reception area has a coffee bar. Be sure to come here for a coffee or ice cream, or wander through the shop selling local produce. On the campsite itself, you will find spacious pitches on neatly maintained grassy fields with hedges. From some of the pitches, you have a lovely view over the lake. At Holstebro Søpark, hiker's huts for two to six people are also available for rent.
Swimming and canoeing
There is a lovely swimming pool at the front of the campsite. You can have even more water fun in Vandkraftsøen. From the campsite, you walk straight to the shores of this lake, where you can also swim. Good to know: this lake was artificially created in the 1940s with the construction of a dam a bit further on. Below the water's surface is the original, winding course of the Storå river. That creates different water depths and currents. So an ideal place for an exciting canoe or kayak trip!
