A beautiful, spacious campsite surrounded by the Thetford Forest, a paradise for hikers. The campsite has a heated swimming pool with paddling pool and an excellent bar. The bar is open during the holidays, otherwise only during the weekends. An ideal family campsite. Last 1.5 km through the forest is an unpaved road in bad condition.

Stayed at the Dower House to go to a concert in Thetford Forest. Was quiet at the start and finish but got busy over the weekend. The weather was very hot so the swimming pool was a blessing after setting up and during the day. Staff were very helpful and always available on phone. The bar was only open on the Saturday but to be fair that was their busy time. Best pint of draught Guinness I’ve had in a long time. Also they do good food. The still warm Scotch eggs were so tasty. Did a few walks in the local area which are mostly through the woods that surround the campsite. If you want a peaceful, quiet time stay over during the week.
