At a distance of approximately 6 kilometres from the attractive town of Colmar, in a rural setting, you will find the stylish and quiet Suzel campsite. On the large four-hectare campsite you will find a great diversity of trees, bushes and flowers. The 135 demarcated touring pitches measure between 90 - 100 m2. You have a choice of pitches with or without shade. There are twelve rental bungalows on the campsite.

Fine camping

A great way of camping on fields with a maximum of six beautiful and spacious pitches. The clear demarcation creates ample privacy. Families with young children like to stay here in summer while senior citizens are more likely to visit out of season. You can buy basic necessities at the reception. Fresh bread can be ordered daily. You can get takeaway meals from the snack bar.

Entertainment for all

Near the beautiful, heated swimming pool measuring some 200 m2, you will find a number of loungers in peak season. There is also a small paddling pool. Children enjoy themselves in the playground and the recreation area. The mini club and entertainment programme for children is offered in German, English and French. On the grounds of Camping Suzel you can also play table tennis, beach volleyball and make use of the pétanque court. You can even practice archery under supervision.

Lots of excursions

There are several castles to visit in the vicinity, such as the Hohlandsbourg. At the reception, they will gladly advise you about interesting excursions. You can also follow cycling routes from the campsite.

Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

This site has been better before Cap Fun. They don\'t run it with care anymore and you can find it in sanitary everywhere. The kitchen and toilets should be cleaned more often.
Otherwise the place is nice with all the trees and flowers (has been planted by the owners before Cap Fun.)

Capfun Clair Vancances Camping, Alsace France

This is a campsite we have visited before and widely have recommended to all we have talked to.

A pearl near Colmar in Alsace, a nice little campsite visited by many family\'s with kids.
The owners put their life in this place and we and many others loved the clean facilities, the flowers and the way they build the campsite up.
A campsite you looked forward to come back to and visit the following year.

In 2018 the campsite sadly was sold to Capfun. What a disappointment for us customers.

The first thing you notice when you drive into the campsite is all the new mobilhomes.
The large tent site and the grass where the were activities for the children is gone now.

The employees are racing around electric cars and tractors. One just waits and fears when a child is driven over or hurt.

The impression the employees gives one is that they are unprofessional, unattended and unskilled. They just don\'t care, it just another job for them.

The toilet facilities are dirty, \"when\" cleaned they are still dirty.
No new toilet paper are hung up, even after this was pointed out by many customers, you would still face an empty role on the toilet 5 min after it was \"cleaned\".

A foam party for the customers got out of hand and ended up to be a party for the employees and their kids. They were drunk and keept all of the campsite awake with yelling and loud music.

An arrangement where a football match France vs Belgium was shown on a wide screen.
First row was taken by the employees.

This meets the impression you got when entering the gate.
Employees first, customers second.

We have come to the conclusion that this is our last visit to this campsite along with many others campers.
What was a gem in the beautiful Alsace is now a ruin of life.
What has taken years to build up is broken in just a few months.

With this review, I withdraw all previous recommendations for this campsite.
