A horrible experience - AVOID if possible. Due to a longer than expected drive we arrived 1 hour after the reception had closed for the night and although we had a reservation the owner told us to leave. We drove into the campsite to have a look at it but the owner sent an aggressive-looking employee in a van to tell us to go. With this attitude this campsite deserves to go bust..
This site should not be on ACSI list as it was in a very poor state. On arrival the owner shouted at us from his house on the hill and eventually came an hour later. The toilets stank and the restaurant and outside seats looked very scruffy. The electrics need updating and not in a good condition. Derelict looking caravans on site. Do not recommend this site.
Nice setting with some reasonable pitch's some with shade.
Sanitary facilities poor with bad smell, one slightly better than the other.
Restaurant never open 3rd week of June.
Reception by ring bell & somebody will shout down from house above. Pay before camping.
Lots of dirty scruffy resident caravans on site, like a shanty town.
Town very basic 20 minutes walk, good supermarket far side of town.
Pitches were being divided in two ready for an exhibition in town.
I guess this campsite & town rely on the exhibitions to survive.
We were aiming for Intercommunal Riquewihr but found it closed although still in the 2013 directory. Found this site although signposting took us around the town. Motorhome facilities very poor - to fill up with water we had to turn around and emptying was down a steep gravel road which we didn't even try. Everything was in one block and unisex, including washing up (with "hot" (which was only tepid) water from a separate tap for washing up). Showers push button with great force - more like a pressure hose so not the most pleasant experience. Most pitches difficult for a motorhome unless we went quite a way along the narrow site which was then quite a walk to the only open block. There appeared to be another, even more primitive block available when the site had more units on.
