Camping Les Valades is between the French rivers of Vézère and the Dordogne. It is a spaciously laid out campsite in a natural green, wooded area. The campsite has a private lake where you can go swimming, fishing and canoeing. You can also go for a swim in the indoor or open-air pool. Activities are organised for young and old in the high season. There is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area, so you won't get bored for a second.

Spacious camping pitches

Camping Les Valades is on a large hill, surrounded by trees. The campsite is landscaped as a large park, with less than 100 camping pitches and a wide range of accommodation. The camping pitches vary from between 90 m² to 300 m². Some of the pitches have luxury private toilet and washing facilities and a private washing up area.

Local food at the campsite

The reception building is stylishly designed and is the centre of the campsite. There is an indoor area with a pool table, toys and boardgames. There is also a restaurant with a patio where you can get local dishes and pizzas in the high season. In July and August, there is also a small campsite shop for basic necessities. You can order fresh bread at reception throughout the camping season.

Water fun

Water fun is an important factor at Camping Les Valades. There are no fewer than three swimming pools you can splash about in. There is a heated indoor pool for colder days and an outdoor pool with paddling pool for when the sun shines. You can also have lots of fun in the swimming lake. There is a water trampoline floating on the lake, and you can use the canoes for free.

"Beautifully landscaped campsite, undulating down to pool and lake. The lake allows for playing and fishing. Panoramic view from most touring pitches but certainly from all bungalows. Excellent clean toilet facilities. There are 10 pitches with private bathroom next to caravan or tent."

Liked - Lodge was clean and fully equipped for our weeks stay. Balcony overlooking lake was lovely to sit on in the evenings.

Liked - We had a wonderful holiday, the first accommodation let it down, very cramped, tiny rooms, tiny beds, old, mouldy uncomfortable. 2nd week we were moved to a VIP as we had paid £2000 for the accommodation this far reached our expectations and we were then very comfortable and happy.

Liked - We loved the beautiful pitch . The spaciousness of the site and the amazing views from every part of the site . We stayed on XL pitch and it was the largest we have ever stayed on at any site .
Disliked - We were disappointed with the bar/ restaurant area. Before the end of August the food/bar was totally shut . In such a beautiful site it’s a shame not to take more advantage of this . The snack bar at the lake only opened for a few hours in the afternoon but only took cash . They lost a lot of business and on other large French sites we’ve been accustomed for a few years now to contactless payments everywhere

Whilst snack good could be eaten in now plates or cutlery offered. The site could do much better to make it superb !

Liked - Fantastic pitch and superb space for camper van and tent
Disliked - Limited toilets and facilities in the swimming pool area - often wet from pool users and showers being used by pool users. Cleaning undertaken between 8 and 9 in the morning when showers needed for morning use

Liked - The two toilet blocks, though small, were adequate and I was able to use the family bathroom both mornings. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked - There was not a restaurant as advertised, it was more of a snack bar which was only open if there was no event by the lake. The site was very steep

Liked - The site is still beautiful. The pools are well maintained and the lake is lovely.
Disliked - There is now a focus on mobile home rentals, which is a change for this site. This was our fourth visit in the last 15 years and you can feel the change with more pitches added and a change within the peace and quiet the site used to offer. The lack of focus on camping pitches means that the top sanitary block now offers poor showers which need updating. The move to ‘fast food’ rather than restaurant style food was also disappointing. Still an enjoyable stay, but not as magical as it used to be.

Jean Charles and Laurence have put customers first in their planning and upgrading Les Valades. It is very obvious that they reinvest into their campsite . Every little detail in their sanitary services and the landscaping of their whole campsite is the very best . Their swimming pool is safe for
People like me with mobility problems . Just the best campsite in France and possible Europe
