Good bus service in to Vannes.
Large market in Vannes on Tuesdays
Some pitches have far too much slope. Trees are starting to have too much effect on the pitches especially if satellite access important and if sunny site required
Some pitches have an unacceptable slope.
A number of pitches are starting to become overshadowed by trees.
Not a site to revisit. The friendly, English speaking receptionist allocated us a pitch without EHU despite a booking using an ACSI card. The replacement pitch had EHU but was sloping in most directions! The site was peaceful enough and we were lucky to be only a short distance from a toilet block with excellent showers and toilets - the irony is that a first class aire is adjacent to the site entrance!
Receptionist was very helpful and spoke English. No choice of pitch as there seemed to be a Hymer Club event on. Brits everywhere. Although the site was practically full there was only one toilet block open. If your looking for quiet please do not come here especially anywhere near the pool/ bar area. We were going to to stay 2 nights but quickly decided to leave the following morning. If it's not noisy children around the pool and bouncy castle it's the constant hum from the pool compressors. Why Hymer Club choose this as a venue is beyond me. We have been away in France for 9 weeks and this is our least favourite site. The town is supposed to be 2 kilometres away but in reality it's 4 kilometres. Suffice to say we will not be returning
We visited this site two years ago and enjoyed the area and the site so much that we returned. The site is just as good and I would recommend it to anyone.
The toilet block close to our pitch was closed so it was a fair walk to use the one in operation. However, the site was quite quiet so we understood why they would not want to be cleaning two blocks.
Internet access is good and free. The system remembered me from two years ago. I was very impressed with that.
A good location within walking distance of Vannes but there is a bus service directly outside the site. There are also good signposted, looked after cycling/walking trails. Some pitches are close together and some are on sloping ground but there is plenty of choice.
At the time of our stay, the largest toilet block was closed leaving two others open which seemed to cope with a fairly high level of site occupancy.
The reception staff spoke very good English and were both friendly and helpful.
With the ACSI discount, this is a good place to stay for a few nights.
