Because of its location only 1.5 km from exit 27 of the Autoroute du Soleil (A6), Camping de Tournus is an ideal overnight camping site. The spacious pitches on grass are not really demarcated. All have electricity. There is a bar with a breakfast service and takeaway meals as well as a small shop with daily fresh bread, drinks and (regional) products for your convenience. Fifty metres from the camping site entrance you will find the Tournus municipal swimming pool.
Due to its favourable location close to the highway, Camping de Tournus, on the outskirts of the town by the same name, is ideally suited for a short sojourn on the way to or from the south. The camping grounds are not very extensive but are well-tended with spacious pitches on grass. They are equipped with all amenities. Several pitches are paved which makes them suitable for campers as well. There are two clean sanitary buildings which are also accessible for disabled persons.
Recently, the camping site has also added some very funky rental huts. The huts are built as a type of wooden tent. They can accommodate five people in real beds. In each hut, there is a mezzanine bed of 90 x 190 cm, a double bed of 120 x 190 cm and a sleeper couch which converts into a bed of 140 x 190 cm. The furniture consists of a folding table and stools. Pillows and duvets are available, but sheets or towels are not included. There is electricity and a radiator/towel dryer.
The huts have no sanitary facilities but are close to a sanitary building with toilet, shower and washbasin. Great idea for a comfortable stopover with children!

Peaceful night on edge of town
We stayed here in our caravan for one night in July on our way north. It served very well as a stopover site for us. We were just outside the ACSI discount period, so it was expensive for us, but that was our problem! The site is pleasantly located just outside Laon. It would be possible to walk into town, but we drove a little of the way and parked by the river nearer town as time was short. The site itself was pleasant, well-run and friendly. The reception experience was good: we ordered bread and croissant for the next day. We had a wide choice of pitches, and elected for hardstanding with rows of others, but there were much more open and grassy pitches available too, if we had preferred. Toilets and washing were fine. Tournus itself was brilliant: the abbey is spectacular. The town is very pleasant to walk around, and we enjoyed a beer on the riverside, watching boats and river cruisers. We would recommend this site for a stopover, but do try and get there in the ACSI discount period!
Stayed overnight. typical stopover site. few loos, wash areas good. pitches large and well maintained. Abbey nearby amazing !!!!!!! just felt quite clinical and soulless. 16 euro tho so good for rest night.
Used this as a stopover to see the Abbey, stunning so don't miss that. 7 mins cycle to town so long walk if just want out for dinner. pitches large and well maintained. 4 lady loos for whole site and 1 squat. free wifi good for planning. pool turned out to be private, next to camp. 3 euros per. p. Staff lovely. As stopover ok, wldnt want more than night tho.
Excellent site in an area worth more than just a one night stay. Flat pitches with clean facilities but did get busy - even in June! Nearby abbey very nice and lots of Maconais vineyards not far away.
