Camping de Montlouis-sur-Loire (Les Peupliers)

The toilet facilities were not clean by any standard. the pitches are shaded but could be better maintained. very noisy traffic during the night from the road and from road works. difficult to find on the sat nav it takes you to the disused back gate. due to the dirty toilets and showers and the noise we paid for 2 nights but left after one. our advice would be go a little further to the municipal site in Amboise if you want to see the Loire at its best and have excellent camping conditions. we didn’t use the pool but it didn’t look very inviting or well maintained at all.
