This campsite is located in the Loire Valley, just a few kilometres from the popular Loire à Vélo cycle route, in the town of Saint-Avertin. This is a suburb of the larger city of Tours, the centre of which is about five kilometres from the campsite. While Camping Tours Val de Loire Onlycamp thus has a nice central location, you will still be camping in a quiet spot along the banks of the River Cher. This campsite attracts campers from around the world. Many of them are in transit. The campsite is located near the exit of the A10 motorway (Paris-Bordeaux).

Flat terrain with spacious camping pitches

The terrain of Tours Val de Loire Onlycamp is completely flat. Tourist camping pitches are the primary form of accommodation here. Campers can choose from sunny and shady spots. In addition to spacious touring pitches, this campsite also offers various rental accommodations. These include chalets, lodge tents and charming looking Bivouac tents on stilts.

Swimming laps in the municipal swimming pool

Right next to the campsite is the Piscine Municipale de Saint-Avertin, or the Saint-Avertin municipal swimming pool. This is a beautiful, rectangular indoor pool in which you can swim laps. There is also a paddling pool, a sauna and an outdoor area where you can enjoy the sun in the summer.

Shopping

The campsite features a small shop with a modest range of foodstuffs. Here you can buy ice creams, regional products and cold and hot drinks. You can also order fresh bread and croissants for breakfast.

I'm seriously disappointed by this site. Came based on reviews. how is this 4*? not even close to that! segregated toilets locked in the evening so have to use horrible unisex ones. you'll need at least a 25m electricity cable. no water points, little shade. booked 2 nights, left after 1. won't be back.

Liked - A great location or completing parts of the Velo a Loire and visiting some lovely chateaux. The site is well appointed and offers good wi-fi to research travel/cycling plans. Staff speak English and are very helpful. Easy access to Tours from the site and well worth a visit.
