Campsite Le Neptune is on the river and close to the Mediterranean Sea. A campsite with a beautiful pool and various sports facilities. Leave the campsite to explore the beautiful region of Languedoc-Roussillon. The campsite is on the shores of the Hérault, only 2 kilometres from the Mediterranean Sea. On this campsite, you can swim in the pool or show off your athletic talents on the multisport field or the fitness room. The campsite is ideally located for going on fun trips in the area.
A lot of space
The campsite has been managed by the same family since 1972. Campsite Neptune is a flat campsite where all camping pitches have a surface of at least 100 m2. They are covered in grass and delimited by oleanders, hedges, and bushes. Many areas enjoy a lot of shadow and have electricity.
The campsite also offers a variety of mobile homes for rent. All types of accommodation are for 4, 5, or 6 people and have a kitchen, a sitting area, bathroom, and separate toilet. The more luxurious mobile homes also have air-conditioning, microwave oven, fridge with freezer, and a TV set. The big advantage is that there is a lot of space around, so that you can also park your car next to the mobile home.
The river Hérault flows by the campsite. You are not allowed to swim here, but you can fish without a permit. You can swim on the campsite itself. There is a beautiful swimming pool with a toddler area.

A family run concern which is warm and friendly and very accommodating. Well placed for visting Agde and the surrounding area with cycle paths to most places. The lack of toilet paper on numerous occasions was the only down side, could be very embarrassing!!
On arrival at the site, the reception was closed and we were directed to a pitch by a member of staff - no choice was offered. Overnight, it rained very heavily and in the morning our pitch and the neighbouring pitch were literally under water, or rather surrounded by mud. We couldn\'t get out of our caravan without rolling our trousers up, removing our shoes and wading through the quagmire. At about 5pm, another camper suggested that the site had some pallets which had been delivered to other pitches. On hearing this, we waded through the mud (which was literally ankle deep) and approached a passing member of staff in a truck, asking if we could have some pallets. He agreed that we could, but we would have to wait until the morning or go and get them ourselves; not an easy task as they were stored some distance away and proved to be very heavy. By then I have to admit that I was feeling quite upset and angry, but we went in the office and politely asked if someone could please give us a hand. Again help was refused until the morning. We accept that the staff could do nothing about the weather, but I would argue that we should not have been directed on to a pitch that was so prone to flooding, knowing that heavy rain was forecast. We also felt aggrieved that staff hadn\'t made us aware that pallets were available, and when we finally discovered this fact, not one member of staff was prepared to give us any help to transport them to our pitch. In fact they were positively rude and dismissive. To add to our woes, we went to buy bread the next morning and were informed that it had to be ordered the day before, although we were not told about his. Needless to say, we would not return to this site!
This pleasant site has pitches bordered by oleander bushes and shrubs which are regularly attended to by a gardener. The pool is lovely, heated with the air and water temperatures digitally displayed and plenty of comfortable sunbeds available. We particularly liked the jacuzzi. The showerblock was fine with individual washbasin cubicles. However, I felt the toilets needed modernising with better lighting as you approached. When we visited, the evening snack bar had closed and the bar itself shut at 8pm. But half a mile down the road, another site\'s snackbar was still open so we\'d buy our takeaway pomme frites there. Easy cycling on designated paths to the coast or a mile and a half in the opposite direction to the small town of Agde. Recommended!
Le Neptune is a pleasant site half way between Agde and Grau Agde, the beach resort. A designated cycle path will take you to either in a few minutes. The pitches are hedge marked with oleander bushes, shrubs and trees. These are tended regularly by a gardener. There are some gites and they are dotted amongst the touring pitches. The pool is great. Its well designed with a Jacuzzi and it was definitely heated with the air and water temperature on show. There were enough comfortable sun beds available when we were there for 2 weeks in September. However, at that time the bar shut at 8pm and there were no snacks or takeaway food available in the evening. But we cycled half a mile to another site where we ould buy pomme frites to take back. The unisex sanitary block was fine with clean showers and washing cubicles. However,I felt the toilets could do with updating and the paving around the whole area redone as there were many uneven places which were potentially dangerous in the poor lighting at night. That said we felt it was a good site that deserves its 4 * status for the above reasons, and for the staff who were always helpful and courteous.
Stayed 3 nights here in mid May, very busy with not many free pitches left. Toilets and facilities were fine and quite acceptable. Very clean. Pitches was a bit of a dusty scrub of turf and cold be rather muddy if wet. Opposite a cycle trak to take you to Grau agde, agde or cap agde.
This camping place is in a lovely position by the river. It is within a very easy cycle to the coast or in the other direction to the town of Agde. It is a lovely typical French style site with a pleasant spa pool to relax in. The pitches are of reassonable size and we extended our planned stay from 1 night to 5. We are definitely going back to explore some more.
A very pleasant site with welcoming staff. Each emplacement is beautifully planted with palms. The cafe/bar is on a terrace overlooking the wonderful swimming pool which is heated even in the low season. Within walking distance along the riverside to the nearby village its good for either a long or short stay. The ACSI discount makes it excellent value for money.
Beautifully kept, lovely owners and the site has a really lovely feel to it. Would recommend to anyone.
Lovely site ideal for couples or families with young children. Situated in a nice area with cycle paths to seafront and old town.
