Camping du Lac de St-Pardoux is located in the western part of the Limousin in France. Situated at swimming lake Lac de Saint-Pardoux, the second largest lake in the Limousin, you are surrounded by water, trees, woodlands and greenery. The family camping is located in a quiet environment with lovely French villages nearby. The nearest large town is Limoges, 30 km away.

Quiet and space

The campsite is terraced and in addition to pitches for campers, you can also rent a chalet or mobile home. These rental accommodations are separate from the tourist pitches for campers. The wooded surroundings ensure that the sites are well shaded and almost all camping pitches are spaciously laid out.

The camping has a small kiosk for groceries as well as a basic café-restaurant. The sanitary facilities, accessible to disabled persons as well, are basic, but clean and well maintained. The pearl of the campsite is the well maintained outdoor pool with adjacent sunbathing areas where you can enjoy the French sun.

Lac de Saint-Pardoux

The location on Lac de Saint-Pardoux makes the camping ideal for lovers of water sports. From morning to evening you can waterski, canoe, swim, sail, go boating or fish. The lake, naturally, also has a sandy beach with a sunbathing area and some sports fields. In high season a lifeguard/first aider is on site daily.

Cable car over the water

Near Santrop (5 km), you can gaze at the treetops from the tree climbing park or whizz over the lake at high speed in a cable car.

We can not believe this camp deserves a 4 star rating. There are no wash basins in the toilets which are old and dirty. There is not even a camp map on display outside the office. The camp is in need of a major renovation except for the pool and restaurant area. There are no signposts in the camp to direct Campers to facilities. We have stayed in many camps around France that ARE 4 STAR quality, but this camp hardly reaches 3 star. Major investment needed at this camp. We stayed there on the night of 24th August.

Liked - location to beach and cycle trails, friendly campsite
Disliked - shower temperature sometimes a little temperamental but generally clean and functional. This isn't a dislike but the nearest shop is 20mins drive apart from the village boulangerie and the Sunday market so come prepared!

Liked - We had a great stay and enjoyed having access to the lake and a swimming pool!
Disliked - Cabin microwave and lid needed cleaning but other then that the accommodation was fine
