It is no coincidence that Camping Porte des Vosges, or ‘Gateway to the Vosges' is situated at the beginning of the Vosges. As the campsite is very close to the A31 highway, it is an ideal stopover site. Are you staying longer? Enjoy the diverse landscape; mountains, vineyards, vast woodlands and countless small lakes. The campsite is spaciously laid out and very green and sloping, creating the impression of camping in a park. The reception and snack bar are located in the same building. After a long day's journey, take a refreshing dive in the small outdoor heated swimming pool with adjacent sunbathing field.

Camping or glamping?

All types of campers feel right at home at the Porte des Vosges campsite. Guests with a tent, caravan or mobile home can camp on spacious pitches, some hardened and some grassed. The pitches are not demarcated, but are sufficiently spaced to ensure privacy.

Do you like camping, but are looking for more comfort and luxury? If so, you can rent one of the glamping tents. These lodge tents, suitable for 2-6 persons, are fitted with comfortable beds, a kitchenette and a wooden terrace. As soon as you arrive on the campsite, your holiday begins.

The sanitary facilities of the Porte des Vosges campsite have a modern look and are heated in low season. The campsite also has a dishwasher, a dog shower and a cleaning station for chemical toilets.

Liked - Good organised, quick at the reception, easy to park you caravan and car for a short stay and good and clean sanitair. Only 2 words: very good
Disliked - Maybe an option at the entrance to make a parking for car+caravan for incecking. So that people which left and come back not have to wait a cew for a long time

Liked - Quiet camping with all the basic facilities (pool, reastaurant, shower etc.)

On most caravan plots you can leave your car hooked up to the caravan so you can leave easily on 7.00am when the gates reopen. Only 3 km from the highway.
Disliked - Toilet seat on toilets for males cannot be put up, so standing persons mess up the toilet seating. Better would be a seating that you can bring up and down, depending on the visitor needs.

Liked - A well organised site with everything you need for a longer stay (we did that with our grandchildren) of like this time a on nighter. Level hardcore for the caravan and nice grass alongside to put the chairs on to relax. Great pool and cafe. One thing, if you want a meal in the evening, get in the queue just after 17:30 for the 18:00 opening to avoid a longer wait. The food was very well prepared and value for money.
