General information
Le Picard is a small, green camping site in Tournières, in the Calvados region. You camp here in the beautiful countryside of Normandy. The camping site is small and basic, but the service and quality of the amenities are very good. Enjoy the heated swimming pool, the playground and the restaurant.

Liked - Lovely rural location. Peaceful environment, felt so relaxed. The campsite grounds and facilities very well looked after. Bathrooms are kept extremely clean all the time. Friendly and helpful hosts, Delphine and Laurent, we always feel very welcome. The location is convenient to visit a range of interesting places including the D Day beaches and the beautiful cathedral in Bayeux.
Disliked - The only drawback for us is we need to drive to shops and village and we would prefer to be able to walk or take public transport, however all/most campsites in France are in rural locations and a car is needed.

Liked - Le Picard is such a peaceful beautiful place. Amenities are great and hosts can not do enough for their guests, all helped by the ability to speak English which helps enormously, as well as being able to help with the French language for people wanting to learn. The site is well run and extremely clean. We brought our caravan over in June of this year and left it in storage at a cost of 300Euros per year. We returned at the end of August and intend to go as often as possible. So much to do in the surrounding area too. Thankyou to Delphine & Laurent.
Disliked - Not really.

Liked - The campsite is small and perfectly cared for and the amenities are spotlessly clean at all times. It's so peaceful it really is a wonderful break away. The pool is also super clean and has a nice area to sunbathe. The owners are absolutely delightful and make you feel like family! Super food served in the evening and cheap but delicious wine. I would come back tomorrow!
Disliked - Nothing negative at all to say!

Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years
Liked - Quiet surroundings, with only countryside noises arround (cocks, sheep, cows etc), no roads nearby.
The pitches are big enough, even for our large family and the long caravan we need.
The owners are working for their guests from morníng till night trying to make the stay as relaxing as possible. The washrooms, toilets and sinks are cleaned several times a day.
The little snack bar is simple (no Michelin stars ;-)), but you don't have to leave hungry.
The swimming pool is not too big and clean, and very refreching on a hot day.
We will go there again on holiday.
