A Lovely spacious site with large pitches, lovely owners and incredible staff. Brilliant facilities well maintained.
A good family site with excellent swimming facilities. Odd toilets although kept clean throughout the day had shower cubicles next to wc cubicles into which water ran under the partitioning. Traffic including the staff golf buggies driven too fast created dust clouds over the pitch. I booked & paid in full in advance - big mistake because I discovered on arrival we could have had ACSI rates but they refused me a discount when checking out. A long walk to the seafront but well worth the effort.
This is our fourth time of staying here over the years and each time we leave, we are pretty sure that we will return.
Echo everything that has been said by other reviewers. We always take premium pitches and Lez Eaux offers the biggest pitches in any site we\'ve stayed at. The outdoor pool wasn\'t open for this trip, but the indoor pool and slides makes up for it. Fantastic facility.
Staff are very friendly. The little shop has most things you might need, but there is a big supermarket three minutes up the road. The bar is lovely and the outdoor area is great for having a cold drink on hot days.
My one observation would be for the little takeaway counter to extend and maybe offer a table service.
Recently the site has built a new entrance road, so there are separate roads for arrival and for leaving.
Road improvements on the E3 may send your SatNav haywire. Ignore it and take the turn off for the D973 at the bottom of the Avranches hill.
Stunning setting just a shame they would not take a phone booking with ACSI card as very expensive .
But can t wait to go back again next year
Well laid out site with the friendliest, most efficient staff that we have had the pleasure to meet. The site is on the grounds of a Chateau and the outbuildings have been utilised as a shop, take away, tv room and bar. Everywhere is superbly cared for and the staff make you feel that you are a valued visitor. Toilet and shower facilities are kept clean and tidy (whilst there a thoughtless camper walked through in wet, grassy shoes - so annoying, when a site is this well cared for please have the courtesy to wipe your feet before entering!!) My husband made use of the lovely fishing lake and caught a carp so the fish are there if you have the patience. Thoroughly recommend this site and will happily visit again if in the area.
This site is easy to access direct from the main road with no narrow lanes to negotiate, at the same time it is very quiet and peaceful.
The pitches are easy to access and you are escorted to the pitch, so there is no chance of you getting lost looking for your allocated pitch.
Toilet blocks are very clean and spacious. very well maintained and cleaned at regular intervals. There were however no hairdryers in the block near our pitch which surprised me as it is a 5 star site.
There are cycle paths which leave the campsite at the back of the castle, these lead direct onto quiet roads. The coastal villages are very pretty and within easy access of the site.
