Camping Soleil Levant is located by the reservoir of Pareloup, with numerous beaches and water sports facilities. Hospitality plays a central role here. You are warmly welcomed by a French-Dutch couple. The owner will drive you over the grounds in his Deux Chevaux to find a nice pitch. At the front of the camping site you will find the rental accommodation units, with the pitches located further along. These all have a view of the lake.
Camping on a well-tended terrain
The camping site makes a well maintained impression. The camping pitches on grass are generous in size, are often shaded by a tree and have ample privacy. There are three neat and clean sanitary buildings. The sanitary facilities for disabled persons are located in the ladies section. There is also a separate washing area for babies.
The rental mobile homes are close together, yet have ample privacy. There is a two-bedroom type for a maximum of five persons and a three-bedroom type, suitable for up to seven persons. Most of them have a covered terrace.
Water sports and paddling
Water sport enthusiasts can indulge themselves at Soleil Levant. The large recreational lake is perfect for waterskiing, jet skiing, canoeing, pedalos and motorboating. In the demarcated swimming area of the camping site, you will find an array of floating, large inflatable play equipment, including trampolines and climbing mountains. Swimming and paddling are also possible, of course. When the water level of the lake drops, a nice sandy beach emerges.
In peak season entertainment is organised for children, but they can also enjoy themselves in the playground, on the volleyball field, at the pétanque court and the trampoline. You can get a bite to eat at the terrace of the restaurant aka snack bar.

Liked - Fantastic campsite well worth the drive from the UK! Will definitely be back next year!
Liked - We traveled to Camping Levant in our campervan and met up there with our daughter and family. They flew from Dublin to Rodez with Ryanair. Our 2nd daughter drove from the Sziget festival in Hungary with her fiance. Our little gathering was greatly enhanced by the reception we received from Monique and her team.. Monique went out of her way to ensure we could all camp together beside the mobile home of our daughter and her family. Campsite is professionally run, clean, in fabulous setting. We had a wonderful time culminating in an excellent meal of moules frites cooked by Moniques husband.
Disliked - The lack of a facility on site to dump the waste water from campervan. This has to be done in a nearby aire de camping car.
Liked - My SUP trips on the lake. Travelling by car in the area. Staying on the camping.
Disliked - The wifi connection in the restaurant and bar area is ver poor.
We missed the serial (bread) in the morning.

We absolutely loved this. WE pitched lakeside and were treated to the most beautiful view from our caravan. Weather was fantastic although gets a little chilly in the evenings due to sun going down early behind the site September). We take our Kayak with us but boats can be rented if need be. Plenty to see and do nd the fishing is excellent. Loved this site.
Lovely site and very friendly staff. Very large pitches all with good views of the lake.
As it is a large site plenty of room even in high season. Sandy beach all along the lake, dogs aloud in lake.
