We have stayed at this site many times on our way to the south and also on our way back to the ferry, and everything has been good experience until September 2016. On this occasion we were sited with our caravan near the chalets at the other side of the site. And we were kept awake until 2am with noisy teenagers in the chalet next to us over the hedge. The incident was brought to the attention of the site manager, and we felt we didn\'t get a satisfactory outcome or apology. We therefore feel the site lacks any supervision and security at night.
Always a lovely welcome from helpful owner and staff. Excellent pools with one heated. Large pitches with hook up. Sanitaires very clean and lots of hot water. Nice bar and restaurant. Lovely grounds and setting. Would recommend for overnight or longer stays.
We have stayed here before for a couple of weeks and this time was just a one night stop over before getting the ferry. The site is excellent in every way.
Very expensive site and: toilets nowhere near sinks, so get out of the toilet (very dark as well) and having to go to the other side of the toilet block to wash hands. NO soap provided, and for the price I was expecting it. Also, no loo brushes in the toilets....(newer looking block). Two out of three of us only had a cold shower, as there was no hot water.
Only found one location for throwing rubbish away, and we were a long distance from it (more than 5 minutes walk).
Food in the restaurant very good at a decent price. Signposted along the road.
We stayed here on a stop over returning from the South of France. (About a 20 min drive to Calais) We pitched on a grassy slope, had chocks so were fine. The children found the pools, play area, bouncy castle, football pitch, table tennis and table football lots of fun. The access was good, although the Sat Nav took us down a lane on the way there. The food was an affordable price which meant all the tables were reserved. The lady running the restaurant seemed to be in a bit of a flap as everyone wanted a table. (Might be a good idea to have two sittings...) Due to it being so busy we sat outside on the veranda and had the takeaway option, which was an ample amount an extremely good. We had an undisturbed welcoming sleep, woke up refreshed and will definitely be returning!
We\'ve stayed here four times now, normally on our way from or to other European sites. The site is friendly and well-run, with very helpful reception staff. Toilets are clean and there are sufficient showers even when the site is busy. Our kids are 10 and 13 and love staying on this site as it has a great swimming pool and enough sports facilities to keep them entertained all day. We will continue to use this site.
We agree with other positive comments here - a pleasant, well-run & popular site within half-an-hour drive of Calais. This site is almost up to Caravan Club standard - all very neat & tidy & sanitary facilities are good & clean. Reception staff are friendly & helpful & speak good English. We would happily use again. Note, site not in Acsi discount scheme, but Camping Cheques are accepted. Extra charge for wi-fi.
We have stayed here 4 times now over 2 years and each time we have had a very warm welcome. The sites are large, plenty of water taps and the toilet blocks have always been very clean (May/June). They even put up with my French!
We always stop here on way out and on return via DFDS ferry. This winter they have carried out major upgrade of many pitches with hard standings as grass pitches were getting worn & difficult in very heavy rain. Already booked for 2 days for our return to allow for shopping in the St Omer Auchan.
A lovely campsite, quiet, well situated. Helpful staff, good toilet/shower facilities. Reasonable size pitches.
