Few grumbles after my visit this Easter weekend, unfortunately. The site had only recently opened, but felt like preparations were still in progress, the pitches were covered in the twigs and waste from the tidying of the surrounding hedges, which was pickly and difficult to remove, the swimming pool was very, very cold indeed for the children so may as well have been closed and the toilet block was only half open, which even with as few pitches as there made to showers very busy. I\'m sure that this is a nice site when the facilities are all open, but at the time of year felt a bit expensive.
This evaluation has been obtained by our inspector from a questionnaire at the camp site.
Very large site, mainly statics,. Our pitch was in the back of behond, well away from all the facilities. Toilets were just about ok; pitch small. We will not use again.
We used this site for a one night stop over on our way to Dunkerque but would not use again. It's a very large commercial site and the touring pitches are some distance from the reception, pool and restaurants. Our pitch was very small. It only just accomodated our small (5.5 m) caravan and car. There was no room to erect an awning had we wished to. Toilet facilities were not clean and there were young children playing around the cubicles. The washing up and laundry area were unlit after 9 pm. The charge for our one night was exorbitant. On the plus side the staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. I cannot comment on the surrounding area as we did not explore it.
Very friendly reception and very helpful restaurant-bar staff.
The maeals were good value. Would go again. This is quite a large site set partly in woodland.
It has the convenience of a supermarket next door and another in walking distance.
Not to be recommended. Probably rates as worst campsite I've stayed on in my long lifetime of camping! VERY difficult to find with few signs to help. Reception staff unhelpful e.g. when found cars parked on our allocated pitch and returned to get a new one was waved away with 'Oh, just go anywhere'. Toilets/showers/washbasins FILTHY and a long walk from mobile pitches. Just electricity provided on pitch. Mainly statics on site. Could imagine it's very noisy in summer. Considerable drive from beach or any other facilities. Stayed 1 night and even then went off pitch until 10pm and left before breakfast - could not wait to get away!
I would not reccomend this campsite as it wasnt very good. Me and my family went there for three weeks and there was nothing to do exept for a go ape. The pool was not very good and it wasnt very clean. The staff didnt seem very child friendly and the entertainment was rubbish. The food was also horrible. The nearest beach was miles away and it wasnt that nice as it was very dirty. The static caravans were tiny and the pitches were also tiny. The staff there were very rude. The toilets were disgusting and i only saw them clean them once in my 3 week holiday. It was also very dangerous in the pools as there was only one life guard and they always seemed to be chatting up the girls and they didnt supervise the slides. There was no room in the 2 pools because of the slides and the baby pool wasnt that safe as the children could easily get from the baby pool to the deep pool. I wouldnt reccomend this holiday and wouldnt go back myself. It wasnt the holiday we had hoped it would be.
We stayed on this very big and very busy campsite for 2 nights. The pitch was pleasant and level, however there were several groups of noisy girls drinking and playing very loud music till the early hours, which spoilt our time there. The toilet facilities were disgusting-ladies and men shared the facilities which smelt awful and were very dirty. We wouldn't use this campsite again!
