In the southern Vendée on the Atlantic Ocean, in the vicinity of Les Sables d’Olonne (40 km) and La Rochelle (60 km), you will find the lively seaside town of La Tranche-sur-Mer. Here you can look forward to a large number of restaurants and there are shops galore. There also is a daily market. It is here that you will find campsite La Grande Vallée, located between the trees and only 700 m away from the sea, with a lovely sandy beach.

We loved the rural feel of the site - lots of trees and countryside nearby. Beautiful typical vibrant French village a short walk up the steps past an old castle.historical feel to it all.

Size of pitch, cleanliness, staff and location. The motorhome drainage area was the best I’ve seen. Everything was so clean and the staff were always tidying up.

Great weather, good location, close to a lovely beach.
Warmer water in the showers and showers that started on longer than 15 seconds.
