pity we could spend only one night, as it was the last day the site was open (sept 10, 2017) will surely visit again during opening dates of the château, excellent base camp to visit the area too.
it\'s a very pretty and quiet site in the grounds of the chateau;
(you can visit the chateau - guided tours only - and the grounds)
the welcome is good and friendly and helpful;
Amiens is, of course, well worth a visit - but the site is also useful as a reasonable stopping-off point near calais (ferry, chunnel, etc) - especially if you have come across from the north of the Uk or are travelling back from the south of France;
there is a large room which you can use eg to dry things before packing up if it is wet;
NB there are no washing machines
The office was closed on arrival, but my name was on the door with a pitch number which was perfect, as we were on the end and having a UK van but surrounded by Dutch vans, meant no one was overlooked.
The booking in was painless and very civilised with Madame inviting me to sit whilst the essentials were completed. Be aware, she does not speak English, so basic French is required.
The site itself was perfect, with peace and wildlife abounding and will return later this year.
we only stayed at this site for one night ,on our way home ,but i wish i had the time to stay longer as it was a very nice site ,and very friendly staff
