Campsite Les Sables is situated some three hundred metres from the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, slightly south of the harbour town La Rochelle. You can explore the old harbour of La Rochelle, the salt creeks in the area and the marshes of the Marais Poitevin regional natural park. With its large swimming paradise, the campsite is an excellent spot for the entire family.

Good family campsite with beautiful swimming paradise and separated by hedges, spacious pitches. Sandy Beach within walking distance.

We booked 4 nights and left after the first night, the campsite does not welcome English even if you can speak a little French. The children were excluded from all the activities as they were English, and the entertainment staff made fun of them. I have sent several emails and just get ignored. We have been to lots of sites in France and have never experienced anything like this. If they don’t want the English to go they should not take our money and let us book.
