MS Vacances - Camping Club Pontaillac Plage

As of today we are still on site here. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the beach area. Checking in yesterday was quite slow. The receptionist was very friendly and efficient but the policy of 'go around on foot and come back when you select a pitch' means that there may be some people ahead of you doing the same and when you eventually get back to the reception the pitch selected may be already taken. Haven't tried the pool yet but it looks excellent. The main sanitary block has, on one side a row of unisex toilet cubicles. They are clean and well maintained. However the nearest place to wash hands after using the toilet are in separate cubicles that apparently are all locked out of the high season. When we queried this we were told at reception that we could wash hands in the sinks used for eating and cooking utensils or the laundry sinks at the sides of the sanitary block. Definitely not good enough! We pointed the bad hygiene situation out to the staff at reception and we were told they would report our comments to the management.

Notre séjour au camping s'est très bien déroulé. Nous avons eu la bonne surprise de découvrir la piscine avec une extension et couverte. Ce camping est très calme et très près du centre-ville et la plage à pied. Le personnel est très sympathique et le camping est très propre et très bien organisé.
