Ideal Camping is a family campsite where you can enjoy the sun, sea and beach. You are here in the village of Saint-Georges-de-Didonne, located in the tourist region of Charente-Maritime (on the French west coast). The campsite is situated just 200 metres from the sandy beach and 7 kilometres from the popular seaside resort of Royan. The campsite has several sports fields. Entertainment is available during the high season.

Camping between trees

Ideal Camping looks well maintained. The campsite is located in the heart of the Suzac Forest. For example, there are pine, oak, acacia and sycamore trees. The pitches are on level ground and are intermittently separated by trees. Want a little more luxury? Then you can opt for a caravan (all are equipped with a wooden terrace).

Water fun with tropical atmospheres

Families with children, in particular, can have a great time at this campsite. For example, there is a fantastic (heated) water park with slides. There is a toddler pool for the little ones. Every day, you can join in the aqua gym. Prefer to relax for a while? That is sure to happen in the Jacuzzi or on the sun terrace with free sun loungers. Do you prefer to lie by the sea? Just cross the road and you can enjoy a relaxing beach day by the sea.

A nice drink on the terrace

Ideal Camping has its own restaurant-snack bar with a terrace. You can go there for a bite to eat or order take-out. There are also themed evenings, such as a 'moules-frites' (mussels and chips) night or a grill night. For your basic necessities, visit the small supermarket in the campsite. You will find local produce and fresh bread.

Ma fille s’est blessée car les escaliers du toboggan de la piscine étaient verts… 3 points de suture… premier jour 4h aux urgences l’accueil en a eu rien à faire! 15 j sans piscine ni mer! Emplacements non délimités, piscine trop petite pour le nombre de personnes accueillies.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

We zijn vriendelijk ontvangen door de camping eigenaar en hij bracht ons netjes naar onze plekken. De camping heeft mooie schaduw rijke plekken. Sanitair is in Franse stijl, netjes en heel schoon. Normale toiletten en heerlijke ruime douches met een goede straal. De camping is voorzien van een prachtig zwembad met vriendelijke badmeester die constant toezicht houdt, het zwembad is voorzien van voldoende ligbedjes. De zee is aan de overkant van de camping op 5 min. loopafstand voorzien van een ruim opgezet zandstrand. Het stadje Sint Georges de Didonne is op 15 min. lopen langs de boulevard of over het strand, je komt langs enkele gezellige terrassen en winkeltjes. Het stadje heeft een gezellig pleintje om de kerk met leuke terrassen. Kortom een aanrader en we komen zeker weer terug!
