Camping Le Petit Trianon de Saint Ustre is a castle campsite in Poitou. In this region you can enjoy the Roman art of the centuries old churches and the avant-garde techniques in Futuroscope. Castles and country houses are in abundance and one of them is Le Petit Trianon. At the foot of the castle towers you'll experience a holiday characterized by comfort, peace and space.

Princely welcome

Once you arrive on the campsite and behind the entrance, you'll see a well maintained property with high trees and an open field in front of the seventeenth century castle. In the reception, housed in the castle, you'll receive a princely welcome from the owners. Their campsite is very spacious and makes a quiet and peaceful impression. The pitches are relatively large, so you have enough space for all of your gear.

Camping in the trees

Except for the usual mobile homes and a number of cottages, you can hire a unique tree house (for two people) on the campsite Le Petit Trianon de Saint Ustre. You climb up some stairs to an attractive wooden hut. A real "nest under the stars". You hire the hut with hotel service: bed service and breakfast!

For the little ones

There is a lovely swimming pool (with small slide) on the campsite. Children can play in the playground, jump in the bouncy castle or play on the mini golf course. In the high season there is an entertainment team for the little campers.

Regional dishes

The campsite does not have a restaurant, but for lunch or dinner you can go next door to the Auberge de la Ferme. They serve lovely local dishes.

Travelling party: Young couple

Liked - Beautiful , relaxing campsite full of history with large pitches. The campsite owners are welcoming and helpful . Lovely pool with lots of things for youngsters to do .
Fantastic restaurant . We will be returning next year
Disliked - The camping car services could be improved with easier access to disposing the waste water (not having to lift the cover) and hoses both the chemical toilet and fresh water

Liked - Peaceful attractive site although we were there near the end of the season. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Disliked - The pool needed to be a bit warmer.
Would be good if there was more than one rubbish point.

Liked - A lovely site with good size pitches. Facilites block is modern and clean. Loved the restaurant and bar and the very friendly owners and staff.
Disliked - The seats at the restaurant are not very comfortable.
The floor in the toilet block is always wet as water seems to run into the central areas from showers.

Liked - Welcoming and efficient staff. Lots of space. Beautiful trees. Lovely shady plot. Scenic views. Characterful old buildings. Good entertainment on Thursday evening. Peaceful mornings. Clean pool in pretty setting.
Disliked - Wider range of options at restaurant. Games room for teens.

Liked - We stayed 3 nights . Very pleasant open areas and quiet . Excellent reception from the family owners .
Lovely meal on night 2 variety well cooked and presented .
Disliked - Maybe update sanitary facilities but the ones available were clean and well serviced with Soap and paper towels …. Not every campsite does this !

Liked - The campsite was lovely and clean and wasn't over crowded. Loads of green space a quiet at night. We ate in the restaurant and it was very good. New shower block at front very good.

Liked - It was very nice to arrive to a happy face and friendly lady at the reception after a long day in the car. We were accompanied to our campsite quickly and it was spacious and flat. The showers were a bit dated but clean. The steaks and burgers and the bottle of wine at the restaurant were lovely. A great place for one or even a few nights!

Liked - The atmosphere, the big trees , large pitches. All in all it's nice.
Disliked - A few more water points. The toilets are nice and clean, however the urinals don't flush and that can smell a bit.
