This very modest campsite with youth hostel and restaurant lies directly opposite the old centre of Avignon. From the terrace you have a view of the Palais des Papes, the largest Gothic building from the Middle Ages in Europe. The campsite lies directly on the Rhône, near the famous bridge over the river. You cannot camp any closer to the city, it is only a ten minute walk to the centre. Camping Bagatelle (open throughout the year) is convenient for a short stay only. For instance, as an overnight stop or to visit Avignon.
<p>Our pitches are at least 80m² and can be shaded or sunny. Electrical hookup is not included in the basic rate; it's an optional extra (we have 6 or 10 amps). The minimum equipment required is a car.</p>

There you will find everything you need to cook: utensils, hot plate, frying pan, cutlery, crockery, … The Coco Sweet is not equipped with a shower, sink or toilet: you will have to go to the common sanitary facilities of the campsite which are located no more than 50 meters from the accommodation. The parking place is not right next to the accommodation, but a few meters away. Electrical consumption isn't included (it is extra according to real consumption)</p>

The staff were all delightful and friendly Good location. The cleaners worked particularly hard to keep the shower block clean.
Shower block needs updating. It is adequate but could be much better. Campervans arriving and emptying grey waste whilst people queued for entry caused a serious backlog of traffic outside the site. Perhaps painted road markings around the waste area could help to direct campers around the easte area.
