Campsite Sunêlia l’Hippocampe is located in the town of Volonne, in the heart of Haute-Provence and on the river Durance. The typical Provençal landscape with lavender fields, sunflowers and olive trees surrounds the property. L'Hippocampe is a large family campsite with many excursions and activity programmes for all ages. There is a water park with two large heated pools, a kiddie pool, five water slides, a sunbathing area with lounges and a jacuzzi. Since 2024, the campsite has an additional area with pitches of 100m², 130m², 170m², and 260m². It includes a private reception with a shop and bakery, a beach bar, a sports field, and a 3400m² lagoon.

Plenty to experience

Sports, fun and activities are the key words at l'Hippocampe. The activity clubs are divided up by age: there are children's clubs for mini kids aged 4-9 and for children aged 9-13. These are both open in July and August. Workshops, cooking lessons, treasure hunts and performances are organised. For teenagers aged 13 and over there is the Teens club, with all kinds of sports tournaments, creative workshops, pool games and a weekly show. A special feature is that many activities take place in a yurt.

Fishing and canoeing

At the location of the campsite, the river Durance is so wide it has created a lake. You cannot swim in this lake, but you can fish. Also fun: take a water bike or canoe out onto the water. The sites are reasonably spacious, primarily flat and on grass.

The campsites with electricity are located in a orchard and are intended for tents and pop up campers. The comfort sites for caravans and campers (and also tents) have individual water and waste lines. You can also pitch a little tent for free on all sites. For campers, there is also a camper stop with a service area available for a special rate.

Liked - Nous avons apprécié retrouver le camping car nous sommes venus pendant plusieurs étés en famille. Ma fille aujourd’hui âgée de 24 ans a voulu revoir le camping ! Bien sûr beaucoup plus calme que nous l’avons connu car nous sommes venues cette année en basse saison. Mais ça vaut le coup d’être vécu aussi. Calme moins de monde aux piscines. Nous regrettons les animations, soirées etc .. aussi nous reviendrons très certainement l’été prochain en haute saison. Quand on a connu l’Hyppocampe et Sunelia, aucun autre camping n’arrive à vous satisfaire !!!
Disliked - Quelques animations maintenues en basse saison ? Nous avons pu profiter de massages et spa ! De la piscine, randos. Mais une petite soirée animée dans la semaine aurait été la bienvenue.

Liked - Ho trovato il campeggio hippocampe per caso aprendo una mail pubblicitaria. Mi sono avventurata in una prenotazione nel buoi,non conoscendo né il campeggio, né i luoghi intorno ad esso. Devo dire che è stato tutto perfetto! Campeggio ben tenuto nonostante fossimo a fine stagione, bungalow ben attrezzato e pulito,reception sempre disponibile,piscine fantastiche con scivoli annessi e tutto il contorno veramente ottimo. Peccato che non siamo riusciti a fare il bagno nella laguna perché essendo a fine stagione aveva già chiuso da un paio di giorni .

Disliked - La supérette ( plus grande et mieux achalandée)et le restaurant ( trop de manquants). Il n.y a plus d.avantages au porteur de la carte Sunelia .

Liked - De lagune, net sanitair. Op de hoofdcamping verouderd sanitair.
Disliked - Voor een 5 sterrencamping beneden peil.
Geen brood meer te verkrijgen om 10 uur terwijl de camping vol staat. Avondzwemmen wordt zomaar afgezegd zonder reden. (Biedt het dan niet aan) Bij slecht weer laten ze je aan je lot over.

Liked - Het had geen zwembad, maar een stand bad! Leuk gedaan en bedacht, goed uitgevoerd.
Disliked - Snack kraam ging tijdens slecht weer dicht, dus moest je naar de andere kant (20 minuten retour) lopen om eten af te halen.

Het is jammer dat er in het strand-bad niet altijd met een balletje mag worden gegooid. Het is ook niet duidelijk wanneer wel en wanneer niet.

Liked - -mini club super activité et la soiree du lundi soir top, accessible meme pour les 4 ans donc vraiment super
-le spa vu sur la durance (presta rituel un peu juste pour le prix de 130 euros)
-le dome pour les soirée
-les pbracelets puces pour les paiements
Disliked - -le resto... et les crepes industrielles vraiment beurk. une fois pas 2. pourtant, la pate à crepe, c'est vraiment pas difficile. Les pizzas etaient meilleures malgre une pate toute prete egalement. snack pas testé
-espace aquatique: superficie un peu juste pdt les jours de canicules pour accueillir tout le monde. la piscine qui n'est pas nettoyé le soir: crotte dans la pataugeoire tjs presente le lendemain, j'ai du le signaler, bout de pain tout mouillé tjs present au bord du bassin le lendemain... mais si les gens ne mangeait pas des sandwich au bord de la pisicne aussi
