You can enjoy all this to the fullest when you camp at campsite du Pont d'Avignon. This child-friendly campsite is located on an island in the Rhône river. This campsite is especially popular because it is a municipal campsite in Avignon. From the campsite, you can easily cross the river using the free ferry service or you can walk to the beautiful town centre in 20 minutes.

Camping in comfort

When you drive through the campsite, you can imagine yourself in a lush, green park. There are many trees and the camping pitches are situated on grass. Do you value your privacy during your holiday? Then choose a spacious camping pitch between tall hedges, which also provide plenty of shade. There are also open fields where you can pitch your tent or caravan.

Water fun in the swimming pool

The entire campsite is very green, and this also applies to the swimming pool area. The playfully constructed swimming pool is surrounded by plants, giving you that true holiday feeling when you go for a swim. There is also a paddling pool for the little ones. There are a number of loungers at your disposal.

The restaurant with a terrace is located directly next to the pool, allowing you to keep an eye on the children while they are busy splashing in the water. The children will not be bored in the peak season, with an enthusiastic entertainment team thinking up the most fun activities and games.

Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

Liked - Good location, camp site well organised and clean.
Quiet at night. Was easy to enter Avignon city from the site.
Disliked - The area and the surrounding was pitch black at night, no lights on the way from the bridge to the camp entry.
Also, there was just one entry for the total camp and it was inconvenient to enter with bicycles. Please make a wider entry.

Liked - Perfect location. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Facilities were very clean, swimming pool was fantastic and nice t9 have a seating area outside so we could take the dog and relax as a family. Not all sites have this option of this was fantastic for us.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Liked - Overall we are satisfied with our stay, the first pitch we got was to hard and full of small stones so we were not able to put up our tent. The reception was very helpful and let us choose between four different pitches and we were able to find one for our tent. It is very positive that there is a security guard there at night. It feels safe. The receptionist was very helpful when we arrived and explained where to go if we wanted to see Avignon. I can recommend the camping.
Disliked - In my opinion there are too few showers and toilets for such a big camping. We had a tent and the first pitch we was assigned was too many small stones and the ground was to hard for us to pitch the tent.

Liked - The staff were very nice and helpful. Having the bikes available was great.
Disliked - The pitches were quite dusty and it was difficult to get rid of the dirt that would stick. Perhaps keeping the lawns green could help.

Liked - Good camping to stay some days and visit Avignon, Vileneuve.... and/or relax. Excellent reception (always trying to help)
Disliked - We stayed with relatives, and on the two occasions we stayed, they put us in very separate pitches (even though we asked if it was possible, to be placed in adjoining pitches -there were available-). Maybe they thought we were having a party?

Travelling party: Seniors

Liked - Although the site was set up for families the ameneties are in a hub near the entrance so our pitch situated away from there was very quiet. The toilets and showers were kept very clean. Location was excellent. A short ferry boat ride across river to the city. Reception was very welcoming and helpful. Security was good.
Disliked - One or two staff members serving at the bar area were a bit rude and it seemed like they couldnt be bothered and didnt really want to be there. The rest were polite and lovely.
