In the tourist area of Vaucluse, to the north of the Luberon and near to Rustrel, you'll find camping site Le Colorado. This is a real natural camping site in the midst of the woods, where the various sites have been designed on terraces. The sites are always partially shaded, which is great in this warm region. The Luberon is an offshoot of the Alps and a lovely area for long hikes and cycling tours.

Spacious campsites and shade
The natural camping site is characterized by spacious, partially terraced sites. The caravans are parked at the bottom, and you will set your tent up on the higher sites, accessed via a steep path. Here you'll profit optimally from the shade provided by the trees.
The toilet buildings are simple but clean. Unfortunately they are not water tight everywhere, and if it rains a lot, this can cause a few problems.
A fresh dip
The swimming pool on the camping site is small and simple, but it is a nice place to take a dip after a long walk. Just outside of the camping site there is restaurant/pizzeria Le Colorado. You can eat indoors or out here, on the lovely terrace.
Challenging environment
Near the camping site you'll find the adventure park Colorado Adventures, where you can undertake all kinds of activities. The treetop route (accrobranche) is really special, with 120 challenges on 4 routes at varying degrees of difficulty. There are also courses for laser games (from 7 years old).
On Sundays we recommend a visit to Apt, where the famous Provençal market is held. Not far from the camping site there are various typical Provençal villages to visit (we recommend Simiane-la-Rotonde).
