Camping site Risle Seine les Etangs is situated near Toutainville, a village close to the town of Pont-Audemer and directly along a large lake with plentiful water sports opportunities. The region forms part of the Parc Naturel Régional des Boucles de la Seine Normande, an enormous, vast natural area with numerous forests, villages, towns and especially the famous bends in the Seine. This makes the camping site an ideal base for excursions in the area.
The reception stands out for its explosion of flowers. The entire camping site makes a neat and well maintained impression. The pitches measure some 80-100 m2, slightly deeper than wide, but still sufficiently spacious. They are separated by tall hedges, offering ample privacy. Near the reception is a small camping site shop with a limited range. Additional shopping and restaurants are available in Pont-Audemer.
The rental accommodation is exceptional. There are ten bungalows on stilts near the lake, creating an impression of floating above the water. You can swim in the lake, but there is also a small swimming pool on the camping site. The lakes around the camping site are eminently suitable for fishing, although it will be a challenge to catch a fish which is large enough for a complete meal.
Coast and art
Pont-Audemer is not far from the coast. This coast is unique because it takes less than half an hour to drive to Honfleur. This town is illustrious because the picturesque harbour has been immortalised many times by artists such as Gustave Courbet and Claude Monet.

Detail information about this campsite
"Quiet camp site on a lake where you can sail, surf and fish. During the whole year rental of bungalows on stilts on the banks of the lake with beautiful view. The camp site is very suitable as transit camp site. The city centre is worth visiting."

we had an enjoyable stay at this campsite the owners and staff were very helpful and friendly this campsite is really well run we will be returning
Very nice campsite and staff very friendly. It is nice walk into village. Swimming pool is small but we'll looked after.Toilet block is clean and toilet paper is provided.water not very hot.lake for boating, fishing can be reached from site and golf range. Takeaway food available.
We spent a lovely week here at the beginning of July. Karine and Patrice are friendly and very helpful and work hard to ensure the site is neat and tidy and the facilities very clean. The pitches are a good size - we had a caravan, awning, car and plenty of room to spare. They are surrounded by well trimmed hedges that are high enough to give some privacy when sitting relaxing, but still giving an open feel. We enjoyed walking on the cliffs at Etrata, and the beaches at Deauville and Trouville. We cycled some of the pretty 'thatched cottage route' that follows the meandering Seine and visited Honfleur at the mouth of the river. Monet's garden at Giverny was a great day out too. This area of Normandy exceeded our expectations and so did the site owners!
We have just spent a fortnight at Camping Risle-Seine Les Etangs nr Pont Audemer in Normandy. All the pitches are bounded by Hornbeam hedges and are perfectly sized, our Caravan and awning fitted no problem with room to get the car off the roadway. We booked a pitch with water and waste along with the electric so showers in the caravan were no problem. The 2 toilet blocks were clean and tidy, the one furthest from reception had a laundry attached, Washer and Dryer tokens from reception, so don’t take 2 weeks of togs. Free Wifi all over the site. It is a stopping off point for Northern Europeans heading up and down, we had 5 or 6 neighbours in the 2 weeks, but as in all sites abroad 23:00 brought quiet all around. The swimming pool is well maintained and popular, as are the children’s play ground facilities. Baguettes and croissant can be ordered the day before for 08:00 delivery to reception, the Pain Raisin was a firm favourite of the other half!! The site is very easy to find as there are signs when approaching Pont Audemer from either direction. We travelled to France via Le Havre, it is less than 24 miles to the site. Rouen, Honfleur, Deauville are all nearby, as are Calvados distilleries and Cheese manufacturing farms both of which give guided tours and tastings. The sites new (since April) owners are friendly helpful and capable, they speak English and can help with local attractions etc. There is also Tourist info in reception. There are several footpaths which pass the site and there are circuits round the nearby lakes which are 1.7km, 2.3km and 3.3km, brochure in reception. One point of note.. No dual axle units are accepted. We would definitely return, still much to see and explore in the area.
A gem of a site very well run by a young couple who keep the site immaculately clean individual pitches with hedges abundant hot water we only meant it to be a overnight stopover but stayed a week, 2 large lakes right outside the site which you access though a gate a fisherman's dream..will differently return again soon
Gem of a campsite we only intended it as a nightstop but loved it so much stayed a week and will return again soon it is run by a lovely couple Karina & Patrice who are always around attending to the site so it stays immaculate the swiming pool very warm and clean
Stayed end of August, on a pitch near entrance to site. Unfortunately there was a wedding party on site, who returned to site during the early hours of the morning, making no effort to keep quiet. Site barrier urgently needs reinstating as at present it allows taxis to come on site during the early hours. Site urgently needs a mandatory speed limit. Some of the offenders may be residents on site, feel with small children about it is an accident waiting to happen.
Only one shower in gents facilities, which is not adequate.
Stayed on this campsite 2 nights with a caravan, freindly staff, clean and tidy with good facillities. Well positioned for the town which is interesting and for trips into normandy. Great walking around the neighbouring lakes. Easy to find following instructions. would definitely use again.
The grassy pitches are small and we were allocated a place between 2 other motorhomes, with little privacy, though there were many empty places.
Facilities adequate and clean, though premixed shower water barely hot enough.
Free WiFi worked well, although we had to log in again every 60 minutes, as the connection went off hourly without warning. Madame said it was to prevent people downloading films, but she hadn't told us this would happen.
Pleasant walking round the adjacent small lakes, though It was a very long walk into the town.
Coming from Rouen direction, access was awkward and we saw no signposts at all. Only found the site via the SatNav.
A good price using the ACSI Card, but otherwise little to recommend this campsite. The Receptionist needs to be more welcoming (in French or English) and to be available at the posted times.
This site is well sign-posted & easy to find. Ignore the derelict factory - it is nowhere near the site. We found a warm welcome, excellent value for money, large fully serviced pitch & free wi-fi. In some ways the site is a little old fashioned, but it is clean & well kept, including the hedges which were neat & tidy, even though we visited in late October. We would definitely return if a visit suited our other destinations. There were walks along the river & lake which were accessible from the campsite, pretty drives along the 'thatched cottage route' , 9 hole golf course adjacent to the site (clubs & green fees available at reception for small extra charge), town with restaurants, shops & market within walking distance for reasonably fit walkers.
All things considered, good value for money, which can only be enhanced by the completion of the swimming pool.
We had no children with us, and our visit was out of season, so we are unable to comment on some asoects of the site.
