we have stayed previously at this site when managed by a young family and found it to be kept clean, especially the toilets and showers but since a change of management the facilities are dirty and disgusting. I would advise that you avoid this site.
Well run site long grass pitches plenty of room open surrounded by fishing lakes, Mixed shower & loo block hot water small swimming pool undercover.
The only good thing about this site is it\'s location - just off the motorway and 80 miles from Calais - we arrived at 4 and got one of the last pitches - you are told to go anywhere but the pitches are not clearly defined and very tight - apparently people just park anywhere - most were overnighters. Never been on such a cramped site - the lakes around the site were nice for dog walking and the bar seemed popular.
Very friendly staff.
MAIN PROBLEM was the small pitches. We had difficulty finding one that would take our single axle caravan with an awning. We did eventually but some were long and narrow. So narrow that we could not pitch sideways.
Flat pitches and well kept.
Unisex toilet block and showers were just about acceptable and there was a good area for washing up, under cover so we used that instead of the caravan.
Bar was nice.
Initial meal of Paella was disappointing. They had made a large amount for a party of non-campers celebrating and we had smaller portions and the rice was not well cooked.
However we had one of the best pizzas we have ever tasted on a subsequent evening. REALLY.
We didn't use the covered swimming pool but were told it was great. Not open all day and evening.
A bit pricey compared to other French sites. This was our 5th. stop this holiday.
Would stay again.
A lot of walking in the area, 5* to the local tourist office who supplied us with maps albeit needing a car to drive to the various start points with 1/2 hour or so.
Local town had a few bars but difficulty finding a restaurant !
A smallish site with level grassy pitches. We used it as a one night stopover. Could choose a pitch from what was available, although sIte was almost full when we stayed. Toilets dated but OK Showers newer – but still only warmish. Free wifi. Small covered pool but didn't get chance to use it.
Very welcoming staff and easy access to the campsite. Clean toilets and showers with lovely hot water. Washing up water a tad cold, but OK. Swimming pool very nice. Pitches fine, but some are long and narrow. Nice walk around the lake. Great stop for the channel ports and can be very busy
A very pleasant site but too many visitors use it as a night halt. Run by a very pleasant hard working couple.
Site is close to 4 lakes with good fishing and dog walking opportunities. Pitches can become very soft during wet weather. Two supermarkets within 1.5 miles of site.
Lovely spot for a stop over right by the A28, or for a couple of days to explore the area.
Vincent & Maud are great, friendly helpful.
The bar/restaurant area is pleasant, good selection of food available [and Maud's rice pudding is delicious.
The only downside is that the town is about a mile away along a road with neither footpath nor cycleway.
A quiet and friendly site run by a nice couple who speak a little English.
Toilets and showers clean, plenty of hot water but mixed.
Supermarket and little town only about half a mile away but not much in the way of restaurants there.
