Enjoy camping in a nice spot on a beautiful recreational lake? You can do this at Du Lac Campsite. This campsite is located near the town of Les Mesnil-sous-Jumièges, in the French department of Seine-Maritime (Normandy region). This is a beautiful, hilly area where the River Seine winds its way through extensive forests. Its an ideal campsite for nature lovers, hikers and cyclists. Du Lac Campsite is also popular with families with children during high season.

Spacious with a focus on touring campers

The spacious grounds mainly consist of tourist camping pitches. These are available in different comfort levels and are usually separated from each other by neat hedges. There are also special spots for tent campers. A limited number of rental accommodations are also available. There are two sanitary buildings spread over the campsite. One of these is heated. The sanitary facilities are clean and of good quality.

Live it up at the Base de Loisirs

At Du Lac Campsite you'll be camping next to a recreational lake. Take a refreshing dip while enjoying the beautiful sandy beach. There is also an attractive leisure park at the campsite: Base de Loisirs Jumièges – Le Mesnil. Campers of all ages will enjoy the leisure and sports activities offered there. These include mini golf, tennis, BMXing and treasure hunting. You can also enjoy pedal boating, canoeing or stand up paddle boarding on the lake.

Tips for eating and drinking

Base de Loisirs has a cafeteria where you can buy snacks, treats and drinks. There's also a small shop on the campsite. You can purchase bread and croissants there, among other items.

Liked - There were lots of things to do here. The site was good with excellent facilities. The toilets were clean and lots of hot water for showers.

Liked - We had arrived a little late but the reception accommodated us very easily. Pitch was a great size and the site was peaceful, area was lovely and would be good to explore.
Disliked - If anything I would say a little more division between us and our neighbours would have been appreciated but it didn’t spoil our night there.

Liked - We struggled with traffic on way to the site but were able to communicate easily with the reception. They left clear instructions for us, as we arrived after the reception had closed. The site was beautiful, clean and the lake views at sunset were lovely. The facilities were as described and clean. We used the web site recommendation to go and get a takeaway at the pizzeria in the nearest village and that was fab too. We also appreciated the clear guidance on the website about travelling with a caravan to the site via bridge, not ferry, as the sat nav would have taken us the wrong way.
Disliked - It was a very short stay- we did not have any issues

Liked - We didn’t use activities as only a stop over but a great place for families. Playground area fabulous and beach and water activities looked fun too. Everywhere spotless and bins all over.

Liked - Good choice of leisure facilities
Disliked - Allocated pitch was noisy, adjacent to sanitary block. Although it was a large pitch, the ground was very dusty and not much grass.
