Within walking distance of the town of Thiviers, in a park-like area, you will find the quiet family camping Le Repaire. The campsite is close to a lake with a sandy beach where you can swim. Guests are very impressed with this beautifully located campsite with great facilities. A special feature of this campsite (9 ha in size) is that pilgrims like to spend the night here in a 'pilgrims refuge': it is located on the road from Vézelay to Santiago de Compostella.

Just to say the photo is misleading as the lake n beach is over 1km away. I know it's winter but the campsite looks tatty. Just viewed the campsite have not stayed

Très bon séjour, le gérant est très sympas, l'animatrice également pour le Kids club, sanitaire extérieur propre et proximité de la piscine
Proposer d'autre animation en soirée comme karaoke, loto, soirée dansante pourrais être sympas...

We stayed here for two nights because it was one of a very few campsites open in France in October. The appearance of the site was spoiled by a number of permanent tents in a state of collapse and general lack of attention to tidiness e.g bins weren\'t emptied. Toilet facilities were good and clean and we were grateful for good hot showers after staying mostly in Aires. The outdoor heated swimming pool that was still open was an added bonus. The site was perfectly positioned for a morning walk to the excellent Saturday market in Thrivers.
